Leveling Instances

So why on earth did Blizzard split the queues for lvls 58 between BC and LK instances thinning out the player pool and increasing queue times?
You can not queue for both BC and LK at the same time, it’s one or the other.

Anyone else find this kinda silly? And is it all the way through the leveling process.
I ask as i do not level toons very often.

I gotta agree, that is pretty silly.

I can understand if they segregate them to make the lists of dungeons neat (in the dungeon finder tool). Queueing for both seems like a sensible choice though.
