Used to, you could level in pre Cata zones in Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms all the way to 50 without doing Cata zones if you chose. Now all the pre cata zones are only leveling to 30 and after that you can either one shot all the mobs which is boring or be forced to do Cata zones. I like leveling the pre cata zones but only getting to 30 means that my toon only gets to do maybe two zones before reaching 30. There is so much content to do in Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms and this is some of the best content in the game but now I can’t level through it because of this change in leveling. Can you restore these continents back to how they were before this change happened? Thank you.
All expansion zones (excluding Shadowlands, until Dragonflight releases) can be leveled from 1-50, but still retain a default level range outside that opt-in.
Talk to Chromie.
Not the classic zones in Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor. They only go up to 30 then you gotta do the Cata zones like Mount Hyjal and Deepholm. Zones like Feralas and Swamp of Sorrows only go to 30 so when you’re levelling in those continents once you hit 30 you gotta do Cata unless you want to one shot everything in the pre cata zones.
Pandaria and WoD are 30-35 but I usually do them until upper 30’s or to 40.
Those zones lacks gear like trinket and necklaces and rings
That’s only if you’re not in Chromie Time. If you go to Stormwind/Orgrimmar and talk to her(gnome sitting on hourglass) and turn on a branch of it(doesn’t matter which) all zones go from 10-50 afterwards. It requires level 10 to be able to do this though.
Editing just to add that now, after Dragonflight launch, Chromie Time now scales 10-60.
