Leveling from 60-68

Can it be done in an afternoon?

It depends on the gear your level 60 has. If you were decked in tier 3 then it can take around 3-4 days of non-stop playing. If you’re lucky and you hit AV weekend that can help. Heirlooms will help. I had tier 3 during the 50% buff and it took me 2 days to reach 70. Of course, I had a level 70 character helping me with group quests.

I’m going through right now and man is it a drag

My DK quested it out at 1h a level some dings but that was during JJ so more like 1.5 now. Heirlooms are an option.

Check out AV too if you’re alliance. You get almost a quest worth of xp for every tower burn/objective. Horde has too many bots and generally loses more so it’s less worth it.

Define “an afternoon.”

As a shaman, I’m not sure. I flew through 60-68 on my DK in less than a day, but that’s because I could solo dungeons and I gave him looms.

3-4 full days of nonstop playing? Yikes man lol, that seems a little crazier than i imagined it would be. Im in quest greens, no tier gear here lol.

its not that long… 2 days non step really.

If RDF was a thing maybe? Not 100% sure, but without it no, I would say its impossible unless you have like a “Speedrun” route or something.

If you have a level 80 then can farm heirloom gear, I recommend doing that first. If not, and you are playing casually, 1 week should do it.

It’s really not 3-4 days non stop. I did 70-80 in that time.

Couple heirlooms, cheetos, sock, bucket and a 24 pack of beer you could do it in 6 hours yeah

Edited to add - incase you find that disgusting, switch out cheetos with doritos

For 8 levels in a previous expansion? I mean sure… it can take time, but if you just follow questie and quest, you’re going to do it in way less than 3-4 days.

It depends on how much you optimize ofc, I averaged about 1.5 hours per level, going from 60-68. Sometimes a bit faster. That was with a fresh character(hunter), no max level tbc gear to make things easier/faster. I also don’t use any guide or objective tracker for directions, just going off of memory from the days of wrath, and reading quests. It can def be done faster.

I think the person who said 3-4 days non-stop was misreading 60-68 as 70-78 somehow. With the xp cuts to 60-70 it should be able to be done without over playing in 2 days.

Did not take me 3 or 4 days to get through those levels maybe a day and a half and that is not playing nonstop… It really depends on your class and how fast you can quest etc.
