I’ve been away for a good while and I’m looking to level up for TWW (now I’ve finished with making all the remix characters I need) I’ve got a few characters around 50 now after the level changes and what-not. How long would it take to level a character to 70? And are there any particular strats/areas worth doing over others, or just grinding dungeons?
From 50 to 60, timerunning starting WoD will be fast to lvl.
I think they are increasing xp for prepatch too.
If you’ve got the meta cloak achievement from remix, then just level in remix. It really doesn’t matter how.
Not long, can’t give an exact timeframe as I have no idea how much you play etc.
Yesterday, for me, as I levelled another hunter on my second account (60-70 as I used the DF expansion boost).
Timewalking Dungeons, spammed those queues as much as I could tolerate and stayed in the Dreamsurge Zone (Ohn’ahran Plains this week).
Waited for the extra XP buff to be up while queuing. Did the dailies and Fyrakk Assault, and Fields of Ferocity, took a few hours as the queues were quite slow this time around, I’m not questing another character through Dragonflight.
Once I was 70, I did 5 more TW dungeons for the weekly, Last Hurrah a Rift and Dreamsurge to get a piece of gear from each and the World Boss/ in Thaldraszus (Temporal Conflux).
Ended the day doing a LFR in Awakened as I had got to 466 ilvl.
I wrote what I did because:
Wait a few days. When the pre-patch event hits alt leveling will be crazy fast.
remix is I’m pretty sure the only way to quickly level characters, and you unfortunately have to start from scratch with each one.
I’m not sure if they’ll do the 100% buff or not since Remix goes for another month and like a week or so before TWW drops.
Unless they said somewhere that they were or something.
That’s just my personal assumption considering I can get from start - 70 in about 3 hours if I push myself a little.
aka spamming 5-10 minute heroic dungeons lol.
Leveling a toon in Remix is not hard, particularly if you’re willing to jump through hoops and do some shenanigans. The first one is the longest, after that, it’s 2-4hrs of cheese leveling.
But, you can’t level an existing character.
Pre-patch is crushing the required XP for 50-70. The OP should wait for pre-patch and hit the ground running. If you haven’t done any questing in DF, you may as well do some, get your DR mount, learn to fly, see the land (it’s a pretty land).
Honestly, the hoops and shenanigans aren’t even worth it. I can still level a character in two to three days just by Heroic dungeon spamming and Normal raids from 10-70 and none of that mailbox stuff.

Queue up for time walking dungeons, mix it up while questing. Fastest way. Edit. Showing this character at 53. That was yesterday. Its 63 as of this morning.

Meh this toon will be 70 in a couple hours at most.

It’s absolutely amazing the lack of reading comprehension in this thread. I’ve already levelled a bunch of new characters in Remix. I want to level some of my old characters that are around 50.
