Is this a viable option? I would like to grind levels and Timermaw at the same time starting at level 54. Or is this too inefficient conpared to other leveling options?
I did that in Vanilla. However, my experience here is that more people farm Timbermaw now than ever did in Vanilla, so you might face competition for the mobs and, if on a pvp server, you would be frequently killed.
Timbermaw are constantly farmed for the rep, because certain professions get good things from there. Good luck trying to actually level there.
to be fair timbermaw are on hyperspawn so as long as you can kill them fast enough even if the enemy faction tries to kill you it’s not a huge deal.
It can get really rough really fast though. That said I can’t imagine as much traffic there as there used to be. I’ve seen single players farming that rep at 54 for reasonable periods of time recently.
In winter spring they are permanent lay camped. In Felwood I don’t know.
Fell wood north camp is easiest.
Not a bad way to double dip, you gotta do the grind any way for certain trades so may as well knock out both at the same time.
Get Rallying Cry and ZG buff and pick the song flowers when you see them, do the quest to cleanse also.
You will be grinding so you can afford to buy a summon to all locations.
Welcome to god level output.
Also if you group with other’s, you can get revered in like a day. Exalted takes way longer.
Good luck? On heavily populated servers, due to Blizzard just allowing them to fill WAY beyond their programmed capacity, you will be lucky to even SEE a live Timbermaw without a dozen or more people zerging it.
If you can join one of those zerg groups, you might get some reputation and experience from the one or two furbies that they manage to pick off, but Blizzard has really dropped the ball when it comes to server population quality and most servers are WAY more packed than they were ever meant to be. While you are in Felwood or Winterspring farming the furbies, take a look around and see if you can spot any herbs. They are also quite rare on most Classic servers due to Blizzard’s laissez faire attitude towards server populations and server quality. If you like “wild west” style grinding where the fastest draw gets the furbie, then this would be a viable strategy for you.
Thanks.
I’m on Bloodsail. It’s not very populated and it isn’t a PVP realm
Even on Bloodsail, the Winterspring fort is camped most of the time. Lots of people, myself included, are farming there. I’m doing wintersaber grind while farming raid mats. So I’ll be there forever pretty much heh. And I can clear out the entire fort before respawns. So while you would get a few kills in, really wouldn’t be worth your time.
