Is so brutal, Outside if wings and Divine toll, forget it. Round up as many as you can and absolutely nuke them. Then Auto attack for 60 seconds followed by mini burst, and auto attack for 60 seconds. Nerf our burst and give us higher sustain. The rotation is stale.
Blessed hammer, judgment.and SotR I know that’s like par for the course. But wielding a cooked noodle is feeling dull.

Ret suffers from the same “not interesting when not bursting" issue though.

Had the EXACT same conclusion.
Prot isn’t even a functional class outside wings. I dunno how this made it out of the beta like this. 95% of your damage is wrapped up in your cooldowns.
You either instantly kill everything and waste the cooldown, then have to wait a minute to play the game again… or you just stand there tickling the enemies until your CDs come back, and then one shot them… and then have to wait a minute to play the game again.
It has such an awful cadence for actually playing the game.
They need to stop letting people who are doing +20 keys dictate how classes are designed. Cause the class straight up doesn’t work anywhere else now. It isn’t fun to delve with, or quest with, and your single target damage is embarrassing.
A 1 minute Cadence is way too long. They need to move like 50% of the damage from wings/toll back into the kit.
They also need to stop relying on RNG/Procs to give you Holy Power.
If you can’t have 100% uptime on your defensives without some proc then the kit is just flat out poorly designed. They need to honestly stop relying on RNG to give any kind of combo points for any classes. It defeats the entire purpose of having a combo point esq system.
So not only does the kit feel poorly designed, but it feels like CBT because it does zero damage outside of wings/toll. It’s almost manipulative because in some situations it does insane damage. Like you’re feeling weak a lot, and then because you have one moment in the sun – it doesn’t count lmao. Playing a prot paladin feels like being gaslit. lmao.
