Leveling an Alt is impossible without RDF

Instead of listing and praying, make some friends. Send some messages. Adapt. Overcome.

Subject line: Leveling an Alt is impossible without RDF

My response - nope it is not impossible, you can quest. Not a hard concept for most to understand.

BTW: You don’t understand the use/word/phrase “playing the victim”

So send unsolicited messages to random folks.

Why do I need to turn myself into a telemarketer to run a dungeon instead of… I don’t know… using a tool Blizzard developed 10+ years ago?

I might actually do that at some point, but I’m still working on my main right now. I’m not one of those people playing five hours a day.

The couple of people I’ve talked to about leveling have said they’re not going to level again from 1 unless it’s with RDF. Dungeons are simply way to out of the way for Alliance, and they don’t want to do nothing but quest to Northrend.

Well all you need is boost to lvl80 i guess

The time for vanilla leveling was 2 xpacs ago, or that surge when boosting was nerfed, or during Joyous (I leveled all alts to 70 during JJ)
But, lol fresh. Not a good sign anyway if leveling is dead there too.

While RDF would greatly help lowbies, we just don’t have it.
I boost run friends when they have quests.

nobody is throwing a tantrum by wanting what should just be a basic feature by now. If anything, the tantrum is thrown by those that are trying to keep the game in a state for a community that just no longer is here. That being…
1.) While, not everybody I realize that, but I would wager for a good portion of those that play classic, are a lot older now vs what they were back in original wrath… Meaning, the time they did have, just isn’t there at this point.
2.) The newness that isn’t even just WoW, but, I feel online games in general. While, online games didn’t start with WoW, WoW was just so massive, that I guarantee, it was new for a lot people starting with this game… So at this point, you really do not have the unique value anymore because it’s old news at this point. So that just means the amount of people willing to do the thing that we did back then, like waiting an hour for a dungeon, or taking 30 seconds to make a crafted item from a profession, those things are just not something people want in a game anymore. People just want to be able to get in, and play the game.

I can only stomach a level or two of questing a day. Then it gets boring.

I’ve done these quests in Classic, SoM, and now again. So it’d be nice to just spam dungeons.

Because you want to run pugs on old content.

Every other post is about RDF. Or they come into unrelated posts and make it about RDF. It’s all absurd. We’ve heard the take plenty by now.

Blizz isn’t doing it yet because reasons.
Time to move on and post about something else, don’t ya think?

You think you do…

No, that’s what they told folks when Blizzard wanted to remove flying in WoD. Folks complained and Blizzard listened and changed it back.

Most of the spam I’m seeing in LFG now is for pug raids anyhow. RDF won’t affect that.

i haven’t made one post about it. I just comment on the ones that do. I don’t find it that important for me to have it personally. But I understand why those that do and don’t feel they should be denied it just because it may not be how I wish to play the game

I can’t prove it, but I’d bet the anti RDF crowd are roughly the same age as you. They just take the game way more seriously. For them, it’s more of a hobby or “lifestyle” than it is just a game. They probably tend to play at least 20 hours a week. Probably more. They also probably don’t have any families and/or children to deal with. So all of their non working and non sleeping hours belong to them.

Honestly, the RDF debate is, IMO, just another in a series of hardcore vs. casual battles. The kind that have been a part of this game at least as long as I’ve been around.

What’s the point of this mentality though, the playerbase is dropping like flies daily since there’s virtually no content at end game past a couple raids and heroics that can be done in a week and PvP is just BG spam all over again which is so mind numbingly boring.

RDF allowed people to make new toons to keep the treadmill going, rn the treadmill stopped and people are getting off.

All the elitists will have is a dead SoM like server lmao

so why not just add it then?

I think they’re banking on the fact that people bored of end game will buy their $50 boosts to keep going instead of doing a non-RDF grind.

It’s kinda having the opposite effect and people are just saving money instead by raidlogging.

They want you to level in isolation with nobody in the world. Their vision is so much better than getting dungeon groups with actual players /s. I AM KRUMTOILET!!!

I’d buy another boost, but it’s limited. So I don’t think they care about a one time boost.

Just whisper every class in the level range for heals or tank, someone always ends up thanking you for an invite.

and I want to win the lottery sometimes we get what we want and sometimes we have to live with reality
