Hi. I made an outlaw rogue. I’ve read all the spells.
Stealth is suppose to give a modifier “Damage increased by 50%”. And of course, Shadow Dance is suppose to “grants all combat benefits of Stealth”.
However, after testing I found this 50% modifier is not present. Testing went as follows:
Between the Eyes crit on target dummy: 61k not stealthed, 65k in Shadow Dance. After removing the talent “Nightstalker,” then stealthing and using Between the Eyes, crit for 59k.
Ambush crit for 22k, 21k outside of stealth.
Conclusion - the 50% modifier is simply not present. The tooltip on Stealth should either be adjusted, or the promised modifier be put in place.
Two points in Nightstalker increases your damage while stealth is active by 8% (not 50%).
.
your numbers of 61000 +8% = 65000 are right on the money. Nothing is bugged except your calculator.
This is not what the tooltip for Stealth says. The stealth aura explicitly states “Damage increased by 50%”. My calculator says that 61,000 x 1.5 = 91,500. If you’re going to be snarky about my math skills, then I suppose I’ll comment on your complete illiteracy. Please log in, enter stealth, and read what the Stealth buff states it does.
You have something affecting your base stealth, a talent maybe. That will automatically be added into the skills tooltip. Base stealth doesnt add 50% damage.
.
You havent said what spec this is happening in. The only talent I even see affecting stealth at 50% is the assassination trees “improved garrote” in which garrote specifically deals 50% increased damage from stealth and 3s afterward.
.
There isnt any talent in any of the three trees adding 50% damage during stealth beside that one.
I didnt check his armory, nor do I care to, because he didnt say what spec or if its all specs he has this issue with, so its irrelevant. Ive done more in this thread to figure out what his issue is than anyone. Have a wonderful day.
