"Level Squish"

According to not a single official site, and the pre-order mentions level 120 boost. Don’t jump the gun fellas.
Edit:Oof, its official

Wow head mentioned it.

It’s literally all over mmo champ and their discord; it’s happening and confirmed sorry.

Plot twist blizzard makes you think it’s 120 and they boost you to 60

Also I feel like this is the perfect time for a level squish, let’s say the rumors are true and everyone does die and they enter the shadowlands, this could maybe be used as sort of a rebirth at level 1 again

Level squish is the stupidest idea ever

Wowhead ain’t as official as the main store page. Wait for the panel to jump the gun and saying “Confirmed 100%!”

How so? I think its a great idea. Because then leveling alts will actually feel like they get more powerful considering every level is supposed to feel more meaningful

It’s on an article of the front page of WoW’s website.

I think its from the demo at Blizzcon which is playable now.

you did get more powerful with each level, until scaling. So the problem is scaling

Its confirmed. down to 50 level to 60. New class abilities and a new talent tree based on which covenant you choose in SL

MMO champ does not post information that isn’t confirmed without a disclaimer. It’s confirmed. Stop. I know some people don’t want it to happen, but that doesn’t change reality.

Well, thats true however, levels 80 - 120 were almost useless since you didn’t gain anything either. Thats also another problem. Thats too many levels of almost nothing.

Every Level is Meaningful : Shadowlands will introduce a new leveling system, meant to provide a meaningful sense of advancement with every level achieved. Current max-level characters will begin Shadowlands at level 50 and work toward the new level cap of 60.

Welp, stand corrected. Wonder why they wouldn’t simply put that on the features list and store page.

Why is something like that a breaking point for you? I really don’t get it. How is lowering the levels which was definitely needed a problem?

Seems like proof that Blizzard has no idea what the problem is. The issue isn’t “not each level is meaningful”. The problem is with xpac specific progression systems that reset every xpac, with scaling, and with pruning.

Well I hope it works out for everyone involved.

I think it’s a terrible idea and I am out the door, if it is not as bad as everyone with a brain expects maybe it will be worth coming back.

It’s time to watch Wow finally self destruct itself from the outside this time.
