Level squish

Is anyone actually excited for a possible level squish? For some reason, I am.

Yep I totally support a level squish. So I’m hoping it does happen.

I’m not excited for it. I don’t really want it unless they can gaurantee they won’t Jack up scaling in old world content and medd up my mog hunting. Also unless they squish xp then a level squish is meaningless.

I hope if they do add a level squish, they adjust experience and abilities accordingly. if classes are still boring and it takes just as long to level, the smaller number won’t really mean much

edit: never mind, someone beat me to it

If it means I can do WotLK for a greater part of the levelling process, I’m super pumped.

I really hope it does happen.

If a level squish happened id just be afraid that it would mess up old world dungeons and raids for transmog farming. That’s a big part of the game for me. Id rather everything be left the way it is if it meant not breaking multiple things.

We need a hard gold squish. Nobody needs more than 5 gold account wide. It’s just a number so who cares what it really is. The game will feel more alive, larger, and more fulfilling if we have less gold. Besides, new players get intimidated by how much gold long term players have, and will quit the game.

We need the gold squish NOW!

What exactly does a level squish mean? How would it work?

I think it was mentioned by Ion about a possible level squish to 60. I don’t think they’ve shared their ideas on how it would work. There’s probably some speculation about how it would work out there though.

I really had to look at your response a second time to realize your sarcasm.

IF they do go through with it they NEED (ok not need but should D:) some sort of FoS for those who did the chore of goign through all these lvls normally (some dozens of times)

imho they just need to give lower lvls a large buff that increases XP gained by x amount. speeds up process by a lot but doesnt effect others.

easy way to fix issue and you can adjust the amount very easily so it isnt too slow or fast.

Not me. Doing one level will probably feel like doing 5 levels. Blizz will probably even mess that up so doing 1 level will feel like 10.

i also support the level Squish. possibly with an item level Squish, a Stat Squish, and an XP Squish. right now, 120 levels and over 500 item levels is too intimidating to newer players.

Basically just cuts everything level-related in half. So max level will be 60 instead of 120. Zones that are for lvl 10-60 would now be for level 5-30. Nothing really changes other than the numbers.

Hold up there bucko, lol.

You might think so, but that’s not the way Blizzard does things.

Not excited for level squish because I’m worried they will mess up soloing older raids.

This; squishing the levels won’t mean a thing if it takes as much time to reach lvl 60 then as it takes to reach lvl 120 now.

It’s not about leveling time, for me. It’s quality.

I’m all for the level squish because I’m really hoping it ties into talent trees, which was ALSO brought up as a possibility. The level squish allowing us to get our old talent system back means leveling will still feel more engaging than it does currently.

Where, if we don’t get a squish or the talent trees, we’ll be lucky if we get 1 new ability row this upcoming expansion.

Cause we got nothing this expansion.

woo…
