Level squish

Ok, i cant be the only one who thinks this is worrying, why did they ask us if we know about the upcoming level squish? What is the point of a level squish? There is no way for a mmo rpg to maintain longevity without adding new abilities and (usually) levels. I swear if they make it under 110 im going to be pissed. If blizzard is worried about how long it takes to get a level 120, dont worry blizz, with leveled up heirlooms (not even max, just to 100 or 110) it takes around 2 weeks. Who was even complaining about this? Why does blizzard remove stuff from their game that isnt even broken but doesnt focus on the broken aspects of other parts of the game? I really hope blizzard doesnt go through with this one, this might be one of the worst things theyve ever done. Especially when they put us back to 120, we’ll be like hey we’ve already been here… why’d you put us back?

Yeh, i will be, like on Max LVL 70  awesome.

They’d rather take the lazy way out and band aid something, instead of fixing the talent system.

Cheaper route that’s meaningless in the long run and makes a lot of people want to quit this game.

Any dev who thinks shoving 15 years and 7 expansions into roughly half the levels is insane. That’s the beauty of this game: showing off you have a game that’s got that much content and that many years by having that many levels.

It’s not intimidating to see that many levels. It shows you’re getting a crap ton of content for your money.

Seconded.

Almost beats world scaling.

They just have not and do not understand what the problems are and why their game is failing.

“Oh, they like vanilla. Must just be the amount of levels.”

and it shows actual progression. wtf will be the points of these xpacs if they dont add any levels. wow you get a whole new area to explore, but uh oh, no new talents for you! also they really shouldve added talents for 120 it really just makes the game feel stale when i get no new abilities or passives for being maxed out

A level squish isn’t going to ruin the game in any way. It might actually help new players not dread the grind to 120. Level 60 looks a lot less crazy then 120 when leveling. It makes the goal posts look closer, even though you’re still going to have to kill the same amount of mobs and complete the same amount of quests.

As old players we know that you can get to 120 in a matter of days. However, new players don’t know that. If new players are playing old dry content that isn’t exciting at all they won’t want to sit and play for what seems like an eternity (to a new player) just to get to where we are.

Also if they drop the level cap. We can get spells and new talent points every level instead of every 5 or so which actually gives you something to work towards every level instead of having time without getting anything new which on some classes can be horrible.

still man. i like seeing the vast differences in characters. youre really telling me that people will still have to complete the same amount of quests when playing on a death knight? thats basically a free tanking class and dps class that are already maxed. theyll have to lower demon hunters by a lot and it will just be ridiculous. i think that if they do a level squish dont do it with anymore then 10 or 20 levels, because then we can still have demon hunters and death knights being unchanged, and the lest drastic changes the better with the wow community

What’s wrong with world scaling?
Every time you make a new toon do you want to quest the same path? Or if you are leveling multiple toons at the same time, do you want to do the same quests over and over again? Or would you rather be able to explore new zones while leveling?

the new expacs and leveling on your main is what the new quests are for. and in bfa we actually have quite a lot in the 110 to 120 quest range

There are definitely a lot of things that need to be thought about before doing a level squish. I agree totally.
But i do see it as a positive instead of a negative.
I don’t think if you drop the starting level of DKs and DH that they will be unchanged. They may be OP while leveling for awhile while they sort things out but you can’t tell me that they are OP while leveling now?

but the 100-120 is the main part of the grind, i got level 90 on this toon in 5 days, i still havent completed the 100-120, so dh have a few days of advantage, but not much. and with dks it isnt even questionable… level 60 is obtainable in 2-3 days

I’m almost lore master… I’ve done my share of quests.

So because you’ve nearly completed one achievement on one toon…World scaling is dumb?

Level Squish will be like being stuck in time walking
And there is no way out!

Level and damage squish, wow is an pvp integrated quest-line type game or experience.

One Ret Pally can toss an Epic Bg… One Demon Hunter, One Druid Bear…

Need to get this back in half balanced, I was questing today been questing my cape got totally destroyed by a demon hunter.

These guys got chain stuns health regen and crazy burst damage…

You can not scratch them, I have seen several people on one all at once and not take him down.

You have things now in imbalance that, without a doubt cause a general consensus of grief.

The game has changed in a fashion to where certain classes are hands down out of whack …

Maybe a level squish will fix it …
