Level or Profession first?

I’m going to be using this guy as my main and we have almost a month until launch. So what do you guys think I should do first? Level to 70 or go back and start mining/BS?

Cities will be uninhabitable in about a week. Factor that in to your decision.

You can probably level your professions to the TBC range in one day then level them as you level yourself starting the next day.

If you are like me you would regret every node you can’t tap while you level in Outland because you didn’t level your professions first.

Both get you to the same place. If you level, you can always use gold from questing to get a few mats. I prefer going back after leveling to work on professions, with the occasional visit to the AH here and there.

I don’t know but I’ve already spent 5 hours to get mining to 115(It seems only the rare silver ore will level it up, thanks blizz) and eng to 125. I imagine it’s going to take a week or more of actual ingame hours to level up my 2 professions. For what? IDK man retail got it right with professions. This is pretty much 100% not fun. I’m sure it doesn’t bother those drowning in gold though.

Competing for nodes with all the new DKs and boosted characters might be a pain. I’m leveling Skinning and Leatherworking. Skinning was going pretty quick for me and I’m just putting all the leather in the bank so Leatherworking should go pretty quick once I have all my mats gathered.

We have the 50% XP buff for less than a month. I would take advantage of that to the fullest extent possible.

Leveling a DK takes about a week if even. I’m already half way to 66. Alot of others are already 70

A lot of NPCs will become zombies for periods next week - potentially making both levelling and training of professions interrupted. Depends on your play time but Id do both - level for a while then do profession levelling for some variation.
