Hello
I’ve started a new character to start a long and ambitious journey of doing every quest I can muster.
I’ve opted to not use XP heirlooms and replace any trinket/necklace heirlooms as they become available.
My goal is to enjoy all the storylines of World of Warcraft while also locking my level at the appropriate max level.
This way, with the help of level scaling, i’ll be fighting level appropriate mobs.
I’ll also be doing each dungeon either once or twice to complete any quests inside the dungeon, understanding that things can go wrong in a PuG.
I’ve already set out on several classic dungeons and finished Teldrassil and Exo-myst areas with the help of Quest Completist.
My new journey begins at Darkshore.
But before I can truly begin I have some questions:
- Can you lock your level several times?
- Does the price go up each time?
- Are there any add-ons I should get before I continue my journey?
Thanks for your time,
Worstplayér

Here is the adventurer. Seems I’ve forgotten to change the forum toon.
As far as I know, you can lock your level repeatedly, but needs to be done in either Stormwind or Orgrimmar at the PvP area. Don’t believe there’s an actual cost involved.
For leveling/questing, I recommend Immersive as it makes the popup quest text and NPC faces. Beyond that, the quest chains have been revamped to be pretty intuitive. You may run into some problems in the BC/Wrath areas where some 3-5 man quests are still not balanced for soloing.
Have fun on your adventure!

Immersive or Storyline are good addons for questing if you really want to get into it.

Sweet! I decided to try both of those out. Storyline seems like a winner. Hope it works for all the quests though.

It should. The models might bug out there and here on occasion but it should work regardless.
Have fun on your adventure. Maybe others will be inspired to join you or even start their own.
Just enjoy yourself. :)

I’ve done this several time. Enjoyed each one.
- Yes you can lock it as many times as you wish. This will be very crucial. You will outlevel entire expansions if you dont. Even worse if you do dungeons, world rares and gathering.
- No the price stays the same. 10g in and 10g out
- Add-ons can help if you are a long time returning player or new. I say this because a lot of old stuff has quests that come from dropped items from mobs.
- I hate TBC. HINT: some zones are level based, stop at 70. Stupid Ogrila etc…
I’ve been doing mining and blacksmithing just for the sake of not having to do it in the future. I figure classic is a very long journey so save whatever mats I can. Maybe in the future I’ll make everything I don’t have for xmog, as I’ve never been a plate user.
