I thought we were leveling to 80 now a days? I get NO XP, have NO XP Bar on level 70 completing quests etc. On subscription, was anyway, won’t be now again.
80 is the cap if you bought The War Within or pre-purchased Midnight. If you’re just paying for game time, 70 is still the cap.
If you start a subscription or you buy game time, you immediately have access to all previous World of Warcraft expansions, and you can play all the content and all the maps up to level 70.
If you want to play the War Within content you need to buy The War Within.

Wow Thanks! That was close then! After 17 years playing retail I come back after a couple year break and start thinking I’ll buy $80 midnight. But looks like the scheme now is I’ll also need the previous pack for the required raids and dungeons at $20-$30 plus the obvious monthly sub. You saved me over $100! To top it off to have normal sized bags I’ll be Required to install their known Data-mining “Authenticator” app that’s also known for deleting entire accounts on data-fart. Thanks! Guess I’ll look at private servers and start NoMansSky.
If you buy Midnight, Shadowlands is included, but once the base game is updated to Shadowlands you can level to 80 without it. That might come in a couple weeks when prepatch hits.
