Why does RDF matter for leveling? questing is faster especially now that zones are not flooded. It takes like 4 hours per lvl questing at a medium pace without flying and heirlooms. The hardcore dungeon spammers were barely faster than that doing dungeons in 10-12 minutes which you are 100% not going to clear in those times with RDF. So assuming you can play at least 4 hours a week you only need 8 more weeks for 80! Quests also yield better rewards than dungeons the only exception is if you plan on going back to do them all at 80 for even more gold.
rdf doesnt matter to those that want to just speed run through and get to endgame so they can complain there isnt content.
rdf for me has MANY other uses. it breaks up the monotonous questing. i can farm/quest/craft/achievement hunt… all while waiting for rdf dungeon to pop without worrying that i may have missed a whisper or the lfg tool kicked me off the list for no reason. it lets me run with guildies when they are short on time we still get to crank out a dungeon. when theres only 4 of us we can que and pop and run. when the guild isnt really doing anything for a night, i can grab my tank and que, helping other alliance players get runs.
the first time around in original wrath i built a 300+ member guild off using rdf. some of who paid to transfer to the server my guild was on because thy loved running with us. rdf for us on nordrassil freed up LFG for talking to other alliance guilds and forming alliances to fill raids.
rdf had its down side, of course we ran into a few bad players and the like but we could just reque and keep on. not get shoved back into another long hunt to fill the empty.
This is my plan
