causes your curse of agony to no longer be considered a curse (so that affli can debuff for raid without getting griefed on personal rotation as hard) and increase damage dealt by x% (whatever the devs deem fit to their “balancing scheme”, cough*100%*cough)

They already fixed it by giving shadow priests the curses.
The solution to runes being overtuned compared to baseline abilities is nerfing runes to be in line with baseline abilities, not making everything in the game busted.
Homogenization is not a fix, this is a retail “solution”. The smart fix would be to do what was done in TBC… merge curse of shadows into curse of elements. Honestly taking a page from TBC already fixes most of the problems from vanilla, and they could make much more modest tweaks off that base and focus on content. But in good ole’ blizzard fashion they instead decided to reinvent the wheel and go bonkers with the rune system…
