Will we be getting instant level 60 boosts with tokens in classic as well? It ofcourse shouldn't be able to be bought with Gold since that would influence the economy, but just the option to get a boost to 60 would be a great idea.
It seems to me like there'll be a huge demand for it since levelling takes ages and anyone that has a real life won't be able to level alts otherwise. It would be a shame if we'd be forced to buy accounts from Chinese and eastern-European farmers.
Has blizzard said anything about considering this for classic?
Think your fishing in the wrong pond.
People always looking to piss others off lol.

If you don't want to play the game, why pay money to pay the game less?
Troll thread
They said no microtransations at the start, so there will be shop items a few months after the release... As long as they are purely cosmetics I'm alright with honestly.
As for having an option to buy a level 60 boost.. Nope.. this is a BIIIG nope. As others already said I have a feeling this could be a troll though.

Probably a level 50 boost. I don't think they boost to cap.

It’s funny people are taking this thread seriously.. cmon people it’s 2018. Know a troll thread when you see one

but its not necessarily a troll thread. A lot of people see this as reasonable in 2018, look at mobile games, or worse, games like assassins creed or fifa. Buy a game then pay to not have to fully play it.
I dont want people buying levels, gear, gold (I have said before I could live with tokens ONLY if the value capped at a very low number AND could only significantly decrease in value the more you buy).
Retail WoW tells us though that many people see this as totally normal and reasonable, so we need to be vigilant and shoot down any thread requesting it, just in case these folks are serious and Blizz takes our laughing at it as us saying "sure, do that stupid !@#$"
lol
It's just that it's a 15 year old game and for us veterans we've levelled perhaps dozens of times, just to get to the point of the game where it actually becomes fun. It doesn't hurt other players if you don't accompany the boost with gear, gold or other advantages such as professions, it just gives people the opportunity to enjoy the game more.
Or perhaps they could innovate even further and put up a character trade like some private servers do where it's a huge success, that way players that do enjoy levelling can get rewarded for it as well. But unfortunately it seems to me that people in this thread are very closeminded when it comes to innovation.

Not to play less, but to play the part that I actually want to play instead of being forced to repeat content that I've already played through. 50$ is well worth saving 150 hours.
I mean why not? If they're gonna do sharding then might was well do tokens and boosts too.
I bet they do, they sure love that filthy lucre.
After the demo, I'd say boosts, tokens, cash shops and more will be awaiting us upon release. Even though no one asked for it, and the community is explicitly and quite verbally against it. I hope Blizzards market analysts are right about this, because I can't see either BfA or Vanilla players paying for or enjoying whatever Classic is shaping up to be currently.
There was booing at this year's Blizzcon too, which has never happened before to the best of my knowledge. Maybe even Blizzdrones are getting sick of Blizzard's constant and unending mediocrity for the last half-decade plus? They've actually gotten worse talent-wise, to the point where their server infrastructure is worse than it was 14 years ago. This is put forth plainly by blues like it's a somehow reasonable status for their servers to be in, too! Just incredible what consumers will put up with and actively pay for these days.

This is a very inaccurate comparison, since sharding fundamentally changes the gameplay for everyone. A level 60 boost wouldn't change anything for players that don't want to use it, you can still entirely enjoy the game the way it was while others can choose to skip the levelling part. The only reason not to want this is if you begrudge other players enjoying the game their way.

And what part is that? Dungeons like the ones you can do while leveling to receive impactful gear and exp rewards? Battlegrounds like the brackets you can stop in on the way up that operate in vastly different ways than the level 60 variants? The roleplaying you can do at any level? Even if you hate the early game variants of this content because you have gone through it so many times, how have you not run BRD so many times? Or Warsong Gulch?
Part of the reason vanilla was good was that it did not focus exclusively end game content: leveling is the game, not the chore.
So what else do you want to do? Raid? You're going to be sorely disappointed in about a month if repeat content is a problem for you when it comes to raiding.
So, in the end, it turns out that a significant part of this quite old mmo has been seen by many interested players. It turns out that a game about leveling is about leveling. If you don't like repeating content you have done before, and you don't like leveling, then I do not think an ancient rpg with limited content and hundreds of hours of leveling is for you.
So best not to alter the game to suit your tastes.
