Would like to bring some light to few problems that are concerns right now for leveling for the next phase.
Dark Riders quests.
These are turn in quests that are currently giving 1,550 XP each, 7 in total, 10,850 XP with a follow up quest of 3,900.
14,750 XP at level 40 or higher (until 44), all that requires bag slots.
Problem: If you are considering pushing for a server first level 50 new raid, this is mandatory.
This is also home of many good runes for many classes. The alternative is to level a new character just to level to 50.
There are absolutely no other replacements for these 7 items that are basically free turn-ins (with a follow up quest).
Please, disable XP for the quests initiated by the Dalaran Agent by level 40. Maybe turn it all gold when the XP is enabled again:
Most players used these to get to level 40. It was pretty fun.
Please, do not punish players for playing the game and enjoying the game. I shouldn’t have to create a new character to run for level 50 server first because of a design problem.
Those rune quests shouldn’t award XP, just like those from phase 1 didn’t.
The Student fodders should no longer work at level 40.
Lets not build the game around catering to people who are going to play the game in a degenerate manner.
Theres no achievement or recognition in game for being world or realm first 50, so who cares. The rest of us aren’t being “punished” for playing the game normally, we got our bonuses early, and we enjoyed them, they made the journey from 25-40 easier for us.
This is an imaginary problem. Get 20/20 quests, run gnomer, and you’ll be 42. Hearth to Tanaris and run ZF. You’ll be 50 in under 18 hours. If you are going for world first, relevel a character or you don’t deserve it.
Making changes to the game based on the actions of those people is exactly building the game around them, even if the changes are negative for them.
Removing xp rewards for the dark riders just because some people will get some quick xp from hand ins during the first day of a new phase, is a net negative, let the normal people play and be rewarded, and the degens can ruin themselves for an extra 30 seconds saved on patch day.
I already had to make a new character for the level 40 push.
I’m going for the 3rd character with same class and spec if the devs don’t correct this mistake.
These are NEW things that were added to the game. Game changes a lot for less than that.
Like ALL the changes that were done prior to the level 40 push?
It is not even much to ask. Game is changed ALL the time around that.

8x Student Fodders are in total 160% rested xp that you can use every 30 min once they enable XP again
Those 7 dark horse relics are 7 quests with a follow up that awards a rune that are basically free XP on top of the 20 quests.
I also would like to address:
Achievements aren’t in the game, yet.
Recognition, well, you can say that YOU do not care about it. But you can’t say that there is no recognition.
Furthermore, Blizzard even changed their standard releases on Tuesday patch to global releases on Thursdays for that same reason.
I don’t think Aggrend or any developer would say that it is their expectation that players should level a new character and save the quest for a rune that is clearly made for P2 to be used as a leveling quest for P3. Or that the item they added to help level during P2 should actually be stored for P3.
Either way, the following comment is exactly the feeling of the players right now:
Just to correct: if you want even server first, create a new character (3rd right now, of same spec and level) or you won’t make it.
I would love to see if this is what the developers consider a good design.
The BFD pearl quest actually gives no exp or money in P2. I know because I never got it on my rogue til after the phase changed and was annoyed at getting nothing other than the trinket.
All of this is done before the game gets released, no one ever has done anything that has intentional design behind it first except the creators of said designs.
That will probably happen, which does not invalidate the points I have made.
Yeah, that wasn’t an issue but if you did back in P1 a quest for the damp note for example you were already behind, but if it was just one quest it is fine.

I said that theres no recognition IN GAME. The game does not, in any way, acknowledge your achievement, its all out of game on reddit posts or wherever. 99% of people wont care, let alone know who you are.
This is entirely a you problem, made up by yourself, for yourself.
Most players going for world first are going tp dungeon spam. Tbe student fodders have a 30m cd between uses meaning no matter what theres gonna be down time, and given that p2 world firts raid clear was 13 hours after release id say those arent the biggest problems. Mage aoe grinding and the fact they can solo current level/mext level equivalent dungeons is ridiculous
