Hi - New player here. Love my Paly, but I cannot figure out how to get a mount for her. I thought I would automatically get Apprentice Riding at Level 20, but I don’t see it. In my spellbook (general), it has the passive Apprentice Riding (and Journeyman Riding) ready… but it says “see your trainer.” When I go to my Paladin trainer in Silvermoon city, I have no quest or skill to learn. Walking everywhere is slow… please help!
You need to purchase the general riding ability in order to use it. There is a vendor next to where the gryphons land in Stormwind who sells the training. Once you have that you should be able to use the pally mount. They also sell mounts, flying mounts, and the upgrades to your riding to go faster as you level more.
Since you are at Silvermoon City, the closest Riding Trainer should be just east of the entrance of Silvermoon City. Follow the road and there should be a building with Hawkstriders.
When you want to learn Flying at 30, you’ll have to go to Orgrimmar.

WOW - thank you. Yes, I went to Perascamin outside the city. My issue was that I had the filter on the window modal set to “unavailable” so I only could see the Journeyman spell! My mount is now working - thanks for helping out.
