How does this work now? Does it boost BFA professions or?
We must get some basic 120 gear? I’m guessing something has to be given to you (can’t just ding 120 naked xD) but maybe its those items off the vendors from islands type thing or normal greens?
I don’t think they boost professions since legion.

I just used my 120 boost on this character. You can look at the profile and see an example of the gear you get. However, there is no profession boost. You must select the professions you want and train in them for the Islands.

No professions boost, hasn’t happened that way in a while.
I boosted a human DK up to 120 to be my Shadowlands rep-ho, and his initial ilvl was about 388, can’t remember what ilvl the heart was but all gear except for azerite gear was 390, the azerite gear was 385.
This guy was sitting at 85 from when I originally stopped playing. Then after I started again he just sat. I’ve been wanting to tank again and this was a simple choice for me. Also it’s a class I’ve played before and didn’t randomly boost something I know notuing about like I did with a shaman that sits idle at 120 now after using my bfa 110 boost.
My Paladin was my Mist of Pandaren main and my Warlords of Draenor alt.
It would have been my Legion main but Demon hunters just could not resist.
Other than that she was Belf Paladin first joined the Horde at a very young age in Cataclysm and since been on many realms and played as a Human and Draenei then back to the core return to Blood Elf.
Reason for mentioning all of that is due to expressing my joy with my Paladin.

Since they’re not allowing cross faction play, I’m abandoning my draenei paladin alt and using that boost on a BE paladin on my friend’s server. The 100 level boost was used on old paladin for fun.

I am not sure if it was seen by many or if it is just something like a good vibe after watching the Ice Crown.
So I felt this vibe that a Paladin is needed to visit the Shadowlands first.

I just got back to the game properly (been away cause of life), and it sucks to see my gear (I swapped mains but then took a break) is worse than a new boosted character xD Guess I have some catching up to do! They’re all 389 with some 390 stuff, and me, sitting on 374 ilvl xD
This and they also took away level 3 garrisons.

That’s a nice boost, you can jump right into current LFR raiding with those greens and do decent dps / heals and maybe even tank
I wouldn’t worry much about it. Some of the daily quests that drop gear can help with that. I just got some ilvl 415 pants on my warlock from a daily. You can pop right into LFR and do decent damage.
You still get a level 3 Garrison if you boost a Level 100 Trial character.
I wouldn’t try tanking a raid yet. I do plan on running a few normals, heroics, and maybe mythics while working on raising the ilvl of my neck. Once I hit a decent 400 ilvl and I have practice tanking again then it’ll be raid time.
