Level 11 in Timewalking

Ummm…Please quote me where I stated anything of the kind? Where I stated I was for or against 11’s in TW or they were abusing or not abusing…

I’ll wait… :chair:

Like wise. You’re more than welcome to create a twink.

I never stated I wanted to create one or was even interested… no where.

Then you may not be aware of how it happens. Everytime they are not in the boss room during a boss fight or the tank skips mandatory bosses, it happens. Very noticiable during turbulant timeways. Maybe someday I’ll make a list with all the dungeons that have this potential problem in it.

Twink tanks are the biggest abusers here as they at lvl 10 or 11 are able to kill so fast and get so far ahead that it causes players to miss boss fights and end up with wasted time by having to repeat extra dungeons to get to 5 for the weekly or get to 4 for the vault.

Why do you not want a super fast carry in very old content that youve ran 100+ times?

I have got credit in every tw I have ran for completing the dungeon. Tanks of all levels skipped the second boss in dire maul and everyone gets credit.

Again, i am sorry that somehow you have only been grouped with bad twinks. As i said above, its a group game. I always make sure everyone is there before pulling a boss. As i also said in a thousand or so runs i have never seen anyone not get credit.

Because I am subscribed to WoW YT content creators and his channel pops up as a thumbnail from time to time. The title was something like, “Thousands Banned” or something like that with a picture of an actrative women and I clicked. I’m easy.

I’m glad you mentioned Dire Maul. This is a BIG PROBLEM during classic week. Level 80’s will not get credit for the weekly if they miss the final boss. Level 80’s will not get credit towards the vault for skipping any mandatory bosses.
In East it’s: Lethtendris that gets skipped.
In West it’s: Immol’thar that gets skipped.

DBM is a third-party program you download outside the game, Hence it being an advantage since it’s not provided by the devs of the game.
Twinks can be made by playing the game and everything given to you by the dev team to make one whenever you so choose too.

Radalpho, sorry i think people confused you with Raldor that has some interesting ideas. To answer your questions, yes it extends above level 11 all the way to 80. It is just optimal at the lowest levels because blizzard has to design so that a new player can kill things. If you add a bunch of stats to that you become more powerful like at 10 if a new player has 20 stats and you add 20 stats to that your twice as powerful. if add 200 your really powerful. The more you level the less you can multiply that effect.

Second, of course dbm is an advantage over someone that doesn’t have it. But that was just a poor analogy to start with.

I only report players for abuse of the system. Just because someone is playing as a twink there is no reason to report as they are not doing anything against the TOS. If the twink abuses their advantage and costs me and others time by skpping bosses and locking us out of boss fights by going so far ahead. Then yes, I’m reporting because that type of activity is granting an unfair advantage and is considered cheating per the TOS.

This is 100% purely due to buggy scaling. There are certain effects in Cata timewalking that will simply one shot a low level that are not supposed to because they don’t scale correctly. Once you know what they are you can usually avoid them.

Infectious plague for example isn’t very noticed by 80s but a single tick of it in Tol’vir will one shot a twink no matter how geared they are. It’s easy to avoid by simply killing the plague bringers or whatever they’re called first/fast.

There’s another plague named effect on the second to last boss that will also one shot you but I’m not sure what causes it as it usually doesn’t happen.

The dragon in stonecore’s lava will one shot you on a single tick because of bad scaling, but is easy to avoid.

The first boss in Tidal will one shot you if you stand in any of the water spouts, but they are easy to avoid and you kill her very fast.

The bosses in Blackrock Caverns that have mechanics you have to do at 80 can almost entirely be ignored by twinks because they kill the bosses so fast. The only one you have to do is walk the one boss into the fire to remove its shield before you kill it in seconds.

It’s not granting an unfair advantage or considered cheating. That is just a crappy tank, person that doesn’t care about others. There is no report for that

That is my suspicion as well… I was just curious if it like continued or not. I’ve never really paid much attention to the levels I’m with TW. I just hop on do my 5 x time walkings and leave. I never pay attention to dps numbers or anything else… all I care about is, did we complete and did I get credit (looking at you Dire Mall).

Exactly – that was my point with them… it is only an advantage if they don’t have access to install/use it …but they know this…it was just hard for them to come down off that high horse

Don’t think people skipping bosses would really consist of cheating or any sort of advantage, As someone who also normally skips bosses when I tank on my 80s I’ve never missed credit from skipping, and when I’ve been locked out as a healer or dps, I’ve still also never missed credit besides, I think one time when classic timewalking was finally, Dungeons I did fully ran or skipped I did not get any credit which was a bug quite a few people complained about

I’ve already copied and pasted this from the TOS to you a couple times. Sorry for the duplicates. But yes it is 100%. I’ve also given you the definitions of what abuse means as a verb and a noun.

Per the TOS, “You are responsible for how you and your account are represented in the game world. Cheating in any fashion will result in immediate action. Using third-party programs to automate any facet of the game, exploiting bugs, or
Engaging in any activity that grants an unfair advantage is considered cheating.

This last line ^^^ is clear.

and none of that is happening

It is only an advantage if you also don’t have access to it…but you do, so it is not. If you were not also able to install and use it, then yes it would be, but you do, therefore it is not.

Blizzard provides the NPC to turn off XP and hasn’t removed the ability to easily cap speed on lower level characters. They intentionally allow the advantage in this case so it is not against any rule.

Personally I stay fairly close to the group as a twink. If I get in as healer I let the tank lead even though I’m doing 90% of the damage still.

Only exception is if I get into a group with other twinks that are running ahead. I just keep up with them or sometimes stay ahead of them.

Ok. You and I are not the judges and Blizzard does not make their investigations public. I wish they would though.

As someone who has a 30 year work history of a job that involves rules and enforcement of those rules. IMO, it is. I do see your point of view and I do understand it. I also appreciate the fact that you care about the group dynamic and enjoyment of others. I for one very much apprecite it.
