Due to an interaction between Party Sync and Chromie Time scaling, players are able to loot items with a level req. of 50 @ ilvl 155, but equip it at level 10 (and any other level along the way).
The necessary setup all but guarantees people doing this are doing so intentionally, not accidentally.
I love twinking as much as the next guy, but abusing systems in this way leans a little too far to the exploit side of things for me. Any news on this being patched soon, or should we just expect it to stick around until 11.0 or later since it only affects low levels / leveling content?

Step by step guide here.
Requirements: 1 character you want to gear, 1 character in the shadowlands timeline.
Step 1: Put the character you want to gear in the current timeline.
Step 2: Grab a friend or an alt account and put it in the shadowlands timeline.
Step 3: Go to a shadowlands dungeon entrance or be summoned there.
Step 4: Enable party sync before entering the dungeon.
Step 5: Disable party sync before engaging a boss.
Step 6: Enable party sync before looting the boss.

Also, pls Blizzard fix the already obtained gear of ilvl155, it is clearly intentional abuse of a bug - Make it unable to use for lower lvls than 50, as its suppose to.
Twinking in the 20-29 bracket is ruined atm because of this bug - Ppl are oneshotting eachother left n right, there is literally no gameplay involved other than pressing ressurect at the GY -.-

your going to ruin the fun
Its entertaining to see some players try to report this bug, as i’ve been reporting a certain trinket for months. The moment the 20-29 bracket is disrupted, the reports start. I really doubt anyone looks here or if they do only major bugs get noticed as I’ve seen so many bugs reported here for months to years to no avail, especially bugs that take more than a few sentences to explain something clear cut. If you really want to get it patched get it noticed by wowhead, a popular streamer, or a social platform like reddit. That gets their attention and it usually gets patched fairly shortly after that. Good luck trying to do so if you attempt it, you will need it.

No they wont. Fixing gear scaling is the lowest of blizzard priorities, its been happening at 60 since DF launch.

Look, I don’t care if people got that kind of gear and do stuff on their own, like running instances solo or testing stuff.
However I don’t appreciate it if people use it in the XP on battlegrounds. It doesn’t have a place there, ruining people’s fun - or the LFD.
XP off battlegrounds… Do what you want, Twink vs Twink is some weird place sometimes. Now the 20s are stomping the 29s as it was the other way around since the merge.

no wonder my level 52 hunter got one shot by a level 20 rogue the other day… twinks are overpowered again…
That trinket you keep complaining about is only really useful when low levels are soloing dungeons while not in Chromie time. Otherwise it is just an agility/intellect trinket with a minor useful proc.

Just woke up and read that the 155 gear has been fixed.

It has. I was in a leveling dungeon last night where the tank was a level 10 with an ilvl of 149. He was expecting to log off and find his gear broken.
