Love em, hate em, get dragons stuck in them.
Trees are everywhere in this game, and for good reason, they add to scenery and ambience on the open world.
But you know what’s really super obnoxious and annoying about them?
When dungeons have them in really, really annoying places and they have them in your camera view, or better yet, they catch a ground targeted spell and your traps, your final reckoning, your spears end up in a tree because you walked into the view and between the second you press your buttons and moving, a branch catches where you’re targeting.
I would ask that tree branches and their foliage are made to be translucent at some point in Dragonflight, preferably by 10.2.
Anyone who’s ran Temple or CoS with their camera zoomed out knows exactly what I’m talking about, especially Temple. The trees in the cubby before the main courtyard block almost everything unless you level out your camera.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

Wait till you have to do one of the last quests for the new Furlbogs… its hilariously frustrating.
that be one way to extinguish basic campfire

The trees should catch fire when we accidentally hit ‘em with our aoes. Then you have to put it out or it starts a real fire and everyone in the zone knows you did it and you get a debuff for two hours called “arsonist” that makes every npc in the zone hostile to you

Uhh my only opinion on trees is that they interfere with my camera in season 1 dungeons. Regardless of the season 2 dungeon line up I’m glad there won’t be any trees…
Trees outside of dungeons aren’t really a big deal to me.

But on a smaller less genocidal scale. Like you burn down a small patch im azure becasue you ignored it and left akd for two hours that area burns and you can’t go to iskarra or any town in the zone without the npc’s yelling at you for being a reckless arsonist and attacking you
Also it’s phased. Whatever fire you start other players won’t see. Nothing to interrupt another players experience.
Maybe Sylvanas was misunderstood, maybe her AoE just got caught on a tree…

Maybe the cats were aiming for shandris and oops hit a branch
The last time the Horde set some trees on fire, most of the other inhabitants in Azeroth weren’t very happy with it.
I’m mostly talking about the trees in CoS on Gerdo, and the trees in the cubby before the courtyard in TJS.
Their leaves/branches are really annoying and block your entire camera view if you’re zoomed out, in several spots.
I can’t say I don’t have unexpected issues with trees with races, I can only assume issues with trees in the races are intentional, and that’s fine.

Most of the horde is wasn’t happy about it either because it was done via trickery and deception. This would be different and to me fun and make the world more engaging. Trees aren’t just props. Npc’s aren’t just props.
Props need to stop blocking my camera.

Agree it’s why I won’t do dragon races I always slam into a tree and get bronzed back and scream “**** THIS BULL****!!!”
Slamming into a tree should either kill my dragon or it should break the tree in half. How come every tree on Azeroth is made of steel reinforced concrete except teldrassil
And then in shadowlands kelthuzad is like “haha her cat. Right! It was Mr Bigglesworth all along!”
