I enjoy the vibe and general direction of this patch a lot, some of blizzards best art/work so far, imo, hats off. Problem is, I feel like after less than a day, its another Siren Isle and its back to no content again for another 6 months? The only thing to do is farm rares/trash for mounts and log out. This is a big problem for the game, imo. A patch that has been in development for quite some time should not feel this way after a days worth of play.
I’ve seen some people say “But season 2 starts next week” but what does that change of actual content? More M+ to badge farm?
Anybody else feel like they’ve already cleared the zone of everything minus farming rares and once they kill them, they’re done for the day? Honest question just to gauge where everybody else is at with this patch. It’s a great patch, just wish there was more to it is all.
Blizzard has always had a GOAT’d art team, that’s never changed. No one ever faults their artists because they are damn good at their jobs and severely under paid for how hard they always carry the game.
Agreed. I’m in the same boat. Looks like I’ll be giving ff14 my money instead next month. I never finished ff14 shadowbringers expansion so I’ll get to that. Thanks to blizz for helping push me to finally finish it with their patch named undercooked.
Monster hunter releasing soon too so looks like there’s lots of games to play that respect our time more.
Yes. I was done with the zone after about 3 hrs. I didnt do the side quests bc they dont interest me. I killed two rares and said forget this - why do i care? I havent logged in two days.
I was expecting m0s for new season, the mega dungeon normal difficulty, and the world boss. But, nope. So, im simply not playing. If the season ends up being bad, or the raid not fun, im probably done with wow for good.
I did all of the side quests, all of the achievements that could be done including unlocking the gallagio warband background and a bunch of other things. Less than a days of play, sadly.
Those things would be nice. Was expecting those too. Lets hope…
The main questline isn’t completed yet, the new dungeon isn’t available on Mythic, the new Delve boss is unavailable, the raid is unavailable. M+ and Delves are opening up next week as well for the new season. If you’re not interested in any of the endgame content, I’m not quite sure what you are hoping for in this patch.
Agree. Even old zones still look pretty good despite the more limited tech back then.
That says though, I wonder when (if ever) will Blizzard adopt tech like HDR rendering.
What is HDR rendering? Notice how games like FFXIV and games using engines like Unreal 4/5 seem to “pop” visually? Their sunny days are really sunny. While in WoW everything seems to be evenly lit and it’s always an overcast day.
HDR rendering isn’t even new. We could do it since the 360/PS3 era.
On Blizzard’s roadmaps, under the patch numbers, they should just put “More Mythic+ and some other stuff.” Let’s just face it, that’s pretty much the game now lol.
Wheres the cool stuff? Where’s the FFA arena in the new zone where you can get coins for kills for cosmetics? Where’s the little goblin shop you can open up and upgrade and customize every week? Where’s the PvP D.R.I.V.E races you can compete against other players for new car upgrades? Where’s the 1 boss raid in the new zone people can do every week for a piece of gear?
They ship out filler garbage and people wonder why most players don’t like it
Begrudgingly? Your word, not mine. I enjoyed every bit of what there was to offer, there just wasn’t much of it. Sorry to critique your favorite company and game. I can see you’re easily riled up. Maybe you should realize this is how the game is improved.
