Lets talk about MCP and how we can adjust it for our druid friends

Me personally, I would be happy just giving the thing a cooldown and infinite charges. OR, it could be dropped by techbot… (I think thats the one on the outside of the instance?) if they insist on not changing the item. If anyone is farming that item, I think they deserve the permanent MCP.

Another option would be to adding charges to the item.

What would be your best solution for MCP? (assuming removing the dung cap is off the table)

The cooldown would just hurt them, as they want as close to 100% uptime as possible. I think just increasing the charges would be better overall, and free up bag space. Something like 9-10 charges instead of what it has now.

There needs to be a problem for there to be a solution.

The best solution is to allow players to do as many dungeons as they want to run for any reason. If you pay a sub and aren’t cheating or hacking, then there should be no daily limit

well, it’s a problem for a small sub-set of feral druids.

I’m not sure if making it easier to get or having more charges would change the meta around for druids, tho. In a way, forcing more druids to grind for it.

The adjustment is TBC and really wrath, when blizzard actually added real feral weapons and made feral scale with weapons.

The change wont hurt me, and I’m fine with MCP as it is.

BUT, just as a hypothetical:

-Get rid of wolfhead helm and add the energy/rage gain from it as baseline in furor talent

-Get rid of MCP and reitemize certain items to give +feral skill, bake a flurry effect into our existing tree, and allow us weapon/totem effects while in form.

That would be pretty sweet.

My solution is leaving and putting my $15 to something more worthwhile

Is go back to retail off the table?

Was that ever on the table?

This is the only answer.

Let’s stop pretending that the wow community at large gives a :poop: about feral druids or how we play. As evidence, go read the thousands and thousands of posts in threads about how druids are a broken useless meme spec unless you’re healing and even then probably shouldn’t bring more than one or two to a serious raid. I’m tired of all the people who are actually pissed that their mage alts can’t print as much gold for them but they can’t say that so now everyone is jumping on this “save the ferals” bandwagon trying to pretend that the game at large ever gave a :poop: about us until now, when we can be used as a prop for your arguments for your exploitative farming gig.

I don’t want the instance cap reverted so either increase the charges or have a cooldown or have nothing.

You know Ret Paladins should also be using MCP on cooldown right?

I feel you, but it is also fair to say that ferals have been caught up in this and have a negative impact as a result. Is it so bad to share a little piece of the pie? There are other solutions to address the root problem without making what is already a crappy situation for ferals worse.

For what it’s worth, a feral druid is welcome in any group I’m in, any day  <3

no.

I would be happy if they simply allowed rogue tier gear to be used by druids.

Have you noticed that most of those fighting for the sake of feral druids are not actually posting on druids?

Spot on. I dumped my fury warrior because it was so stinking FoTM. I wanted to distance myself from it and knew what I was getting into. You are right, the “save the ferals” garbage is annoying as hell.

Dude, if Blizzard does anything with MCP it will be to nerf it into the ground. The best thing you can do for MCP club, is to never talk about MCP club.

MCP and Wolfhead Helm are not required to kill Ragnaros, Onyxia, Nefarian, C’Thun, or Kul’Thuzad.

If Feral Druid A wants (or feels compelled) to farm MCP until Gnomeregan implodes to maximize its parses/threat output in raids, fine.

If Feral Druid B thinks that’s a waste of time (e.g. me), that’s fine, too.

The adjustment doesn’t require Blizzard intervention, druids just need to spread their MCP farms throughout the course of a few days instead of doing it all on one day.
