I think this rune could definitely use some work. It doesn’t even come close to being as useful as living bomb even if you’re full-on frost. Maybe up the damage a little bit and see how it pans out? I just really think this rune could be so much more useful than just being a dead rune.
A big part of the problem is that Ice Lance is good in a world where it’s an extra button added to mages in Vanilla. It’s not a good fit when Decoy Totem exists, allowing any Shaman to basically neuter you ability to kite and ice lance their comrades.
I thought Frost Mage would be good this but it just isn’t. Not only that, the scaling seems bad and wrong.

Yeah I feel the same way. I think if they just tweaked it a bit then it would be usable.
