if your hyped for the new expansion, would you be kind enough to tell me why?
personally, i’m not hyped. like, even a little bit. but i figure maybe if someone who’s hyped will tell me why, maybe i’d get a little hyped too!
so, if your excited for war within, why is that?
edit: well, i appreciate everyone’s help trying to hype me up… still not hyped, but y’know, you folks do bring up a good point: nerubians. i am a little excited to fight them again. so… it’s got that goin for it. but just… seeing the earthen as a playable race kinda kills my hype.

Am I hyped? Yes and No.
But not for a 3rd reskinned dwarf
Not for the 10th cinematic of Anduin crying
Not for the 3 days early access for paying 90$
What I am excited for is the new content, that is the only reason I am here and any new content will get hype from me.

As a solo world content many-alts player, Delves has me hyped, and I’m cautiously optimistic about the rest of it. Dwarves… eh… I haven’t ever been able to play dwarves, but hey, maybe these will be different?? IDK. The Warband features are long overdue, and very welcome.
The story… yeah, it sounds good on paper with this three-expansion saga, but Blizzard isn’t as great as they would like to be with storytelling overall, and generally can’t relate a story in game compellingly, so I don’t imagine this saga will be any better than any other story has been in the last almost 20 years. Good thing I don’t really play this game for the story anyway. 
Not hyped for the 1 year gap with nothing interesting coming.

pretty much this, hoping more stuff is revealed. The delves look like fun, kinda like scenarios redone.

To be fair, I haven’t been hyped about a WoW expansion in probably a decade lol. Not the games fault, just doesn’t resonate with me like it used to is all.
I did not think about this… a whole year, maybe a spring 2024 release? It does say on OR before (let me hope)

- Expanded class fantasy in the form of Hero Talents
- Visually interesting new zones with neat concepts behind them - I especially love the Arathi
- The new dwarven city looks fantastic
- Warband looks to be a really nice feature
- Dynamic Flying - I’m a big fan of Dragonriding, and I’m happy to see it expanded to other mounts
- Delves are really exciting as someone who mostly does open-world content with a partner
- The Harbinger looks incredible, no notes
- For the future, more focus on Quel’thalas is great
There’s more, but those are just a few things that currently come to mind.
I don’t care about the Earthen. They look fine, I guess, but they don’t exactly make me any more interested in dwarves than I already was. I like their aesthetic and architecture, but I’m probably not going to be playing one.
I also wish we had more focus on player customization. Shadowlands didn’t do nearly enough to modernize the game, and I was hoping we wouldn’t continue to see the current drip-feed pace of several hair colors every few patches with bits and pieces of real customization trickled in once a year for one or two races.
I also would have liked the Warband feature to introduce cross-class transmog.
All in all I’m pretty excited, even if I’m still holding out hope for certain features in the future.

Maybe small ones like a .5 or something. 10.2 is the final seasonal patch though.
Honestly?
Dwarves, “dynamic flying” gryphons, better mogging, account wide rep.
And a story thread that’s been dangling for a while instead of just dropped on us kind of ad hoc (Shadowlands).
