I’ve been correcting folks on this for 14 years. I have been endlessly mocked, and called some pretty nasty things when I’ve told people what the proper term was and that “inscriptionist” is NOT a word (thankfully not Karen, I’d have to bite some ankles off over that!)
Seriously, if you’re on a modern web browser that highlights misspelling, try typing it in right now. The moment it sees inscriptionist, your auto correct will not like you and will most likely go straight to inscription.
