I still need closure on what happened to the Enterprise-E. They left us hanging there.
How about no?

“It is green” transcends time!
I’ve finished Deep Space 9 a week or two ago, wonderful series. Now watching Enterprise. Probably will watch Voyager later.
This is my favorite of all the series. Sisko is my favorite of all the captains.
There is a current one called Discovery that I really like…
Discovery is good. And while the overtly ‘diversity and inclusion’ theme that seems to be everywhere in Discovery is not a bad thing at all, I feel it sometimes feel forced and the quality of the content suffers.
Case in point: the introduction of the Gray Tal character:
Sure, both Adira and Gray Tal are non-binary and trans characters respectively and it is admirable they tried to have diverse representation in there. But the introduction of the Gray Tal character was very, very sloppy. You mean to tell me that after the Borg incursion, the Dominion War and all those massive conflicts, a Federation starship in a so-called futuristic timeline can’t deal with a measly asteroid? No warning klaxons from proximity sensors and no immediate instinct from the bridge to do evasive maneuvers, fire phasers, and/or raise shields? Even Kirk’s Enterprise in TOS could’ve avoided that easily…one yell from Sulu or Chekov was all it would take. The fact that it managed to make it on screen tells me that part was probably a last ditch/rush effort to complete the Gray Tal introduction because some corporate suits insisted on something.
ROFL yeah sure.
Yep. But I’m sure you know more than all of us. Carry on then.
Hmm I have no idea where you got that from since I said nothing suggesting that I do but whatevs.
I was only linking a parody making fun of the STUPID plot from season two
I am a fan of the Rules of Acquisition. Helped me a lot in non AH mat trading.
OOC, I really enjoyed the Star Trek/Transformers crossover comic from a few years back.
My biggest complaint about Disco thus far is the writing - that said I have not seen any of S3 which people have said is much better.
They seems to often have tried to illicit responses that they didn’t earn. For example:
spoiler
The death of the android/robot/cyborg girl. She didn’t even have a name, and then suddenly we got one episode of beating you over the head exposition on her that obviously signaled her impending doom, which occurred shortly thereafter and with everyone being so upset, with the writings wanting you to be upset, but you just weren’t. It wasn’t earned at all. I felt worse for the already-dead-captain-communicating with Sisko in that one episode than the android/robot/cyborg girl. I don’t even remember her name. The cyborg girl, that is.
You know the real acronym for that show.
The only red shirt to walk away.
It’s dramatically better. Not that I particularly minded the first two seasons, but S1 was messy at best and S2 had bright spots and was showing signs of course correction, and S3 feels like the series’ “growing the beard” moment. It feels a lot more like classic Trek while keeping its own personality and skirting some of the more outdated facets of the franchise, much as the better parts of 90s Trek did. It still has room for improvement of course, but its development is encouraging.
I think a lot of this improvement is owed to S2 effectively writing the show out of being a prequel. It’s just a much better situation when the writers and staff are able to express their creativity against a somewhat blank slate instead of having to jerry-rig their vision to fit into an established timeline.
I can agree on that.
I have a hard time with prequels in general, because it always feels a bit meaningless.
With them being in the future now, we can move forward.
