Make One racial ability and one customization option

Kk I’ll start…

Active racial: Diffuse

The Ethereal’s energy diffuses from its bindings, granting 90% damage reduction.

2 second channel. Can move while channeling.

5 min CD

Customization options…

Red, blue, green, purple, yellow, white, light blue, pink, and orange energy colors.

Racial: Void Storage for free.

Customization option: Underwear options, like the Dracthyr but more options and colors.

Customization Option: Armor moves without any flesh underneath.

While cool idea - I’m over here holding on to hopes of Dracthyr Death Knights. The dude was re-raised up from red dragonflight flames. I mean, come on!
The technology for new death knights is there.

I expect more Death Knights on the next Death themed expansion, when the Ebon Blade will raise the new new generation of Death Knights.

Or or how about this.

Future dks are all time walkers who die on an expedition to wrath era northrend and die.

Then they get rezed. The race buddy they kill is a timewalker NPC.

When you finish Lights Hope, Chromie brings you back to the present.

I don’t like this because I’d rather choose my character’s backstory myself.

But if Blizzard wanted to open up DKs for all future races, there are easier options.

We are friends with the guy who created Frostmourne. The Ebon Blade could simply convince the Primus to give them the power to create new DKs so that they can better protect Azeroth and the Shadowlands.

Oh for sure.

But that requires making new content for new dks. Like how ARs and pandas got a new intro.

We’d need a time agnostic one for all future races.

My idea is the cheap way that doesn’t crap on cannon.

It would require a questline. But that’s a good thing.

Blizzard did one for Warlocks in Dragonflight, introducing stuff like Night Elf, Tauren and Lightforged Draenei Warlocks.

You don’t need to do the questline to play a LFD Warlock, but doing it explains why they exist now.

It was a fairly good questline and gave us a bunch of new imps :smiley:

Active racial: Wipe up - use toilet paper to wipe up ground targeted effects like tar trap or frost nova

I hope we get playable ethereals! I’ve wanted to play one since Burning Crusade. :crossed_fingers:

Racial ability: Voice of Shaffar.
Five-second stun as the target is transfixed by an attractive voice and elegant manners. Five-minute cooldown.

Racial mount: ethereal glowing Arabian horses built on a new mesh/skeleton, in a variety of colors to match those of their riders. Lots of tack and armor options, too.

Hunter pets: ethereal cheetahs or jackals.

Energetic Essence (Passive): As a being of pure energy, health regeneration is increased by 15% when not in combat.

Remove Wrapping: Shred your bindings, revealing the energy being within. Increases damage for 10% for 2 minutes. 30 minute cool down.

The ability to select the color of the wrapping and energy. I personally like the idea of having an Ethereal that has blue wrapping and black energy underneath it.

Reform: Once every 24 hours, upon death the player may self-resurrect at 25% HP and MP/Energy/Rage/Focus/Runic Power/Whatever.

Customization Option: Masks - Ceramic masks featuring different markings related to the clans/nations of K’aresh.

For a bonus, any time an Ethereal demonstrates emotion, their current mask if teleported out for a similar one with a different facial expression.

For anyone familiar with Reboot, think Hexadecimal, seasons 1-3 (save for the last few episodes of the third season).

  • Color of wrappings and the arcane energy. With an option to have it like void energy instead. Different wrapping textures, patterns and energy effects inside.
  • 2 body types
  • Like Earthen, they’ll get their NPC sets as transmogs.
  • Void elves get a transmog discount? Well, you’re dealing with the source - Ethereals get transmog for free through a racial spell but it has a 5 minute cooldown;
  • Racial that is a 15s ‘ethereal sprint’. There’s a customization option that gives this sprint a ‘trail’ (some Ethereal NPCs use that). This effect can also be seen on some class specific abilities that boost your speed;
  • The playable Ethereals have the Locus-Walker as their leader and their ‘home point’ is a greatly improved Telogrus Rift, with actual buildings and nexus-portals to everywhere. Most Void Elves move back to Quel’thalas given the elven re-unification in Midnight, but they still have access to the place.
  • Racial that ports you back freely to Telogrus rift.
