Shame too. It’s a really great game. Just mired with tauren poop that has nothing to do with the game.

(I refuse to call it controversity, because the outrage is so fake and manufactured, plastic cheese looks real in comparison.)

A lot of big awards companies nowadays are very biased towards their own agendas (possibly including the “IP creator controversy” you mentioned) so they aren’t a good metric for general success. However, commercial success is measurable.

It makes it really hard to trust any information nowadays - movie reviews for example are agenda-based and I just want to know if the movie sucks or not, not if you disagree with it’s politics

Not because the devs did not want dlc in their game, not because they decided that the game should have everything they wanted without tainting it with dlc prices. No those weren’t it.

Surely as people completed the game they decided to shelf their game as there was nothing else to do, right? Nah that’s not real!
