Let us use the enhanced boost on characters that already level 70

So I did check and no you cannot use it on a character that is already level 70. Which for me is a bummer as a returning player. My main could benefit a lot from this thing as they have bad gear and very little rep.

But since they hit 70 already they cannot use it.

I can kinda swap mains to a whole new character but I have had the same main since Wrath.

They should open it up to 70s. Very few players would use the option.

I think they should allow it, I want the gear and bags and the renown!! Also a returning player and its very hard to grind through all the old renown when new stuff is coming out! I just want to tame dragons :(!!

AGREED !! Selling a separate package like a “Returning player boost” (no level boost, just the goodies) would be MORE than welcome, as a returning player myself. Or use the level boost on one and CHOOSE where the goodies go ?

TBH, I used it to boost my secondary, but it is not the same… I even thought about starting and boosting the same class as my “new-main” :frowning: which would be silly of me to spend so much money and lose all my previous accomplishments, unlocked zones, etc.

Let us help you to make money Blizz !

In the time it took you to post this thread when you did, you could have geared up completely in raid/m+ gear by now.

You may have “part-of-a-point” here, about the gear. Yet, please do keep in mind that, as returning players, we have to grind just to get to M+ entry level
Not to mention, the reputation boosts are nothing to spit at (which would means MORE grinding for us, returning players).

i.e. the only thread mentionning this topic - if you have a more recent thread, by all means, Share.

You get 441 ilvl gear from lowest M+, 437 from normal mythics and 428 from spamming heroic dungeon finder. All better than the boost. You can also get garaunteed drops of 441 from various world quest weeklys. I think it’s best to keep leveling and gearing in the game and not for sale. There’s too much to do with so much reward that isn’t even that hard or time consuming. Buying gear and progress in an MMO is terrible and only furthers the mentality that all there is to do in game is queue up for dungeons, raids, and pvp.

yeah im pissed at the bait and switch they did ,the boost dose not work i coming or was going to come back but playing and grinding all that rep no and seeing they did not tell us that the boost wont work on your main at 70 is a scam wasted my time and stole my money

It’s a character level boost. How is that in any way a “bait and switch?” When have you ever been able to use a level boost on a max level character? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

There’s no scam. And had you put in a problem with purchase ticket as soon as you couldn’t use it, they would have refunded you.

I wish it was for 70s.

Ngl I’m way too lazy to level all those DF rep.

i have used level boost on max toons be for other games for sure everquest 1 and 2 but they should say will not work on level 70s easy to add on there part returning from long break so the rep boost would of been nice still its on them to inform ppl on what they are selling and how and who it works on fact.

“Other games” are not WoW.

The support article says the following:

The Enhanced Level 70 Character Boost service levels a character on your World of Warcraft account to level 70.

Given that it’s an “enhanced” boost and regular boosts are just levels, no raid ready gear, no rep, just levels and bare minimum gear, I don’t think it being only usable on non-max characters is very surprising.

I still have a level 60 boost on top of the 70 one. Don’t know if I’ll ever use them.
