Let us use any seed on a growing bounty

So tired of trying to do the plant five seeds quests only to find seeds already planted at every mound I go to and they’re all the type of seed I don’t currently have. Like on my hunter right now I have plenty of blue and purple seeds but no green, and green just refuse to drop. So, of course, all the growing Bounties are green.

What would it hurt to let us stick any color seen in to a growing Bounty and get the appropriate rewards at the end? I guess extra programming? I think it could be worth it.

I just started picking up 100 supply cost greens because most people throw a green in and don’t even care to see any bloom added or coordinate at all with anyone else. Just standardize on throwaway green, and you don’t get disappointed much.

I’m sure that means something, but I’m not sure what. Just green is common.

A lot of people already have the mount from epic and the pets from blue, so are going for the transmog from greens. That’s why you’re seeing a lot of green ones, even if that’s not what you’re looking to get.

there’s only 3 seed types. and you get more than you use.

It’s the lack of the dewdrops on new alts that bothers me more. Can’t i just give the plant some gold instead?

Buy seeds from the rep vendor.

Tell that to my alts that have no seed luck. Some of my alts are swimming in seeds and some alts can’t get seed drops to save their lives.

Not all of us are maxed out on Dream renown.

obviously trading in many small seeds for a few bigger seeds should be offered… like we do with every other currency.

It requires 3, 9, and 17 to buy the various levels of seeds. And once you unlock it on one, it’s account-wide. If you don’t have one character that’s that high by now, idk man.

They should have had a seed exchange. Trade in the ones you don’t want for the ones you do.

the cat mounts? I got lucky it gave me them one purple after another… must of used up all my luck as I’m not getting much of the transmog

The transmogs seem pretty rare. I got the mounts and pets very quickly, but the armor is going a lot slower. But that’s probably also because people so rarely use green seeds anyway.

lol, I don’t even do that, greens are just lowest value so I plant them and leave to complete the quest.
Then I turn in and go do the other weekly.

Sure, but you are also than missing out of some rep and flightstones because green almost never makes it to the 50 mark. I like OP’s idea somewhat, but it should be that we can plant blue or green on top of a purple, or green on top of a blue only.

Flying around trying to find an empty spot to plant a purple to give people incentive to add to it to get the stones and rep can be quite annoying in general.

I…honestly find so many green seeds killing things I…might be part of the reason OP is mad about all the green seeds being used. I just spam plant greens and come back later trying to get the winter tint stuff from the bags. I rarely find purple or blue anymore sad to say

You’re absolutely right, but this event is heading for done rapidly. People have their mounts, rep, and are just doing trash green with no bloom because they want to finish weekly and don’t care. That is me too - I match what I’m seeing which is green garbage to plant in 5 mins and be done with little or no mogs or mounts.

I am very much in favor of change as op suggests but don’t think blizzard can or will do it in time, so I match my gameplay to use the same cheap weekly green seeds to just get done and forget the optimal result.

I’ve seen people do that. I have to assume they have all the drops, because I’ve gotten some good stuff off green seeds. Not as often but I definitely have.

Yeah it so annoying. I just plant greens now for quest credit and leave.

Usually it’s one chromatic essence.

Or a wildercloth

Yeah, but I’ve also gotten pets and I think even a mount off greens. Not often but until there’s nothing left to get I’ll stick around and help and keep my fingers crossed.
