Yet more proof Blizzard does not creatively iterate on the lore.
Reforging the two swords back into a new even greater Frostmourne would only be wise if all of the former Artifact weapons were similarly updated and returned to the players.
In game. In a proper quest sequence. And, in a way that feels rewarding to play out.
Because I for one know that my Rogue and all three sets of her Artifact daggers would be great fun if only the game could introduce a real kind of scaling.
Current Level based gear scaling. Gear that improves along with the user instead of forcing the purchase of new gear could be fun if done right.
If they did it it should be an optional quest line. The lich king is dead, Bolvar lost his throne as the new one, Azeroth has probably been fighting off the zombies left over from the pre patch while weāre in the Shadowlands trying to stop Zovaal from blowing up the planet. Aā¦lot of stuff could of been done betterā¦like giving Zovaal more of a actual background story to him as before Shadowlands we knew nothing of him now heās suddenly the one behind Arthas and suchā¦yeah idk. We donāt know where Arthas ended up either so they could very well do a optional job or quest line where the death knight finds Arthasās soul, then through a series of events we find out where Arthas ends up whether it be in Maldraxxus, Revendreth or maybe Bastion and as thanks for seeing to it he finds his true after life the Primus remakes Frostmourne for us but as a cosmetic item rather than an actual weapon. Could even go a step further and make it change color based on spec like a green one for Unholy, red and dripping blood for Blood, Blue and covered in ice for Frostā¦ but at the very least have it be an optional thing and not forced.

Are you going to pop Nerāzhul back in there? Have it eat souls and all that stuff too? If not its no longer Frostmourne and is just a stick with a cool painting.
Poor Nerāzhul. What an undignified obliteration, even his soul. Like yeah he did some of the worst crimes in the history of Azeroth but even that was just really pitiful. His whole life reads like someone who keeps kicking him when heās down and when he tries to go into business for himself, continues to be beaten like a kid with no arms.
Arthas is in Anduins sword. Thats where he went.
DKās already have the Frostmourne artifact transmog, just saying.

When I opened this thread I was expecting it to be a necroād thread.
Frostmourne broke, we reforged it into twin blades during Legion that we then sacrificed to save Azeroth at the end of Legion.
It is gone.
You could forge a new one, maybe, but then it wouldnāt be Frostmourne. Even if we could reforge it we would just have a powerless blade to display on our mantles unless you wanted to go all evil soul steal-y

is there anything that proves this because either way freeing him from that stone and dragging him where he belongs could still be done as a quest line for a DK only transmog
But the blade has already been reforged, as you literally stated.
The Blades of the Fallen Prince were made from the remains of Frostmourne. You canāt reforge a blade that has missing pieces. It would need to be made from scratch.
Also, if it was reforged, it would still be a mournblade, just as dangerous to wield as any other mournblade. Meaning, best not to touch them.

oh yeah the sword of the simps forged from the embers of a good narrative and the shards of lore itself. Forged by the bad writers in the bowels of the darnasus tree forged by sylvanas the greatest character ever written amen.
The frost DK artifact is garbage because itās not a 2h when it was extremely important for it to be. I wanted a reforged 2h Frostmourne and I still do. The frost DK artifact needs to be reforged into a 2h or allow it to be destroyed so that I never have to see it again. I still get upset when I see the frost DK garbage toothpicks artifact sitting in my bank. Frostmourne needs to be a 2h weapon.
