Let us have canon relationships

There should be a system in game for RPers to formally edit their relationships with each other. For example, boyfriend/girlfriend, enemy, sibling, mom, dad, etc.

I played this game called moviestarplanet. In the game you could have your 3 best friends and your bf/gf on your profile. WoW should implement something like that.

There already is. It’s called TRP.

TRP3 has something like that in a RP sense.
Or it could be implemented like it was in ESO, where you could ‘partner’ someone and get some boosts being around each other.

Not everyone uses TRP. I feel like there should be an official version in game because some people don’t like using addons plus TRP isn’t the only addon out there.

You can do that through addons, so I don’t see why it needs to be a core feature.

Plus, anybody who isn’t an RPer would just meme it to hell and back, so… Is that really what you want?

I don’t RP, but I’m still pretty sure there is an addon for that.

To me it would be worth it, there could be benefits to being married as well, or single, and so on. It would add a little flavor to the game

Consent would be required to list a relationship, and NPCs can’t consent.

The option is there. If they choose not to use it, that’s on them. Not Blizz.

I used to play an mmorpg that allowed this sort of thing in profiles. It was great for a while. Then it started to get absolutely ridiculous, caused a TON of in game drama and seriously got out of hand. The devs ended up banning the whole thing because it turned into a giant cesspit.

I am so glad that Blizz doesn’t have this feature. It doesn’t end well.
