Let players resurrect quest NPCs

With the long respawn timer for quest NPCs, can we let players resurrect them?

Or maybe increase the respawn timer so it’s only 30 seconds or so? Kind of annoying to have some troll ruin alt leveling…

We would have people who would try SO UNBELIEVABLY HARD to resurrect Arthas that they end up bleeding from pushing their assigned resurrection button, or their mouse too many times.

The same result would occur from the “Women that shan’t be named”.

And that is why we can’t res NPCs

Neither Arthas or Ion’s waifu are quest NPCs though.

  • creates Death Knight alt.

  • grab quest from Arthas, a quest NPC giver.

  • do the entire quest line again.

  • gets DK to level 60.

  • Icecrown Citadel.

  • find out in the end he dies to the SAME PEOPLE who once served him.

  • “MY LIFE FOR ARTHAS!” Casts Rise from the Dead

  • Arthas has accepted the battle rez!

Canonically resurrection is rare. We can just do it for gameplay purposes. Otherwise why would we even care if/when something dies when a basic acolyte could spend a few seconds to bring them back to life.

Can we also just turn in the quests to the NPC even tho their dead? I know it wouldn’t make sense, but so is pretty much everything else in this game.

Quest NPC lies dead on the ground, suddenly having a reward on top of them.

Sylvanas does give low level quests in the Undercity.
