Hi! This has come up many times over the years and, as per all the blue and green post advice over in customer support, I’m over here to bring it up again.
Simply put I don’t really care to be told why it isn’t possible. I’m here to say it should be made possible and that I would pay basically any amount to have a feature to do it. Other mmos have the transfer feature in place. If I can’t do that, then at least having the most difficult/impossible to obtain items from my unlocked stuff be available would lesson the blow.
I’ve had my EU account for half my life- that’s 15 years if you’re feeling nosy. There is frankly an unfathomable amount of stuff on it I genuinely could not get back by starting over.
As an extra pain point certain promotional mounts and pets actually already -are- available to every wow account I have, regardless of region. It doesn’t seem to follow much logic as to which got that treatment. As an example, I have the hearthsteed but not Tyrael’s charger or the warlord’s deathwheel. I’m gonna cry real life adult tears if I can never hear that engine thrum again.
No but really, please make it happen.

I’d be ok with it as long as you are unable to transfer gold or anything sellable between the 2 regions…to include pets

Hey OP.
I moved to America from the UK about half a year ago, and I feel your pain.
Everything I have, gone. Why? because I’m connected to a different region. It’s absurd and it took a lot of mental ‘will power’ to start from scratch.

As someone with accounts on both regions who lives in the UK, heck yeah.
I started this account back in 2008 when I was at university and could stand to stay up all night to make US raid times.
It’s now 2022, I have a job and a life here in the UK, but I have too many rare and inaccessible items on this account to really embrace my EU account even if the playtime’s more my style. I’ve heard many reasons why it’s not possible to merge the two regions but I would pay a considerable amount of money to just copy my data from one realm to another.

Yeah- I’ve gone from the UK to Canada. I honestly have no idea what the practical considerations to transferring/making things bnet account wide are and to be honest I don’t think anyone else I’ve seen talking about it actually does either. I just don’t want to leave it all behind : (
I have tried with my EU account but even something as small as never seeing the in-game sun due to timezones is a real downer, knowing it’s because I can’t just transfer my stuff. Trying to stick it out with my new US account sucks too since I keep finding more things I just can’t obtain again.
I also think it would be fine if sellable stuff was not something that came with you. It’s really just the account bound unobtainable/sentimental things that get me.

Best of luck! I might plan to relocate for my job to somewhere in Europe in a couple years and I want to bring my mage with me if I switch my account from NA to EU. I would wish for this to happen as well.

Or to be unable to do /mountspecial in front of the Alliance as I cackle wildly!

It should be possible but there should be restrictions upon what can be transferred. Right now there is a gold restriction when you just change servers, so that would need to be in place. Then any rewards or special titles earn there would need to be look into. And any items from the shop that were only an option there, would need to be removed as well.
But otherwise, it really shouldn’t be that difficult a process to do.

I’m definitely on board with this idea!
I started an EU account some time during the Legion-era. It was fun to experience the different “WoW cultures,” and how players interact. Including everything OP has stated, as well.
Having access to “account-wide items,” mounts and transmogs especially come to mind, would be really awesome.
P.S. Totally unrelated, but, removal of Pathfinder made playing between the regions so much more bearable. My EU account I did not play at all during BFA, because I could not be bothered with grinding out Pathfinder again. This time around, flight was far more easier to obtain and that was a huge motivating factor in actually committing time to paying for and playing an account for an entirely separate region.

If it doesn’t happen there are several guilds on US servers that raid at EU times! Mine is one of them but yeah, I’ve spent my wow career careening from EU-timezone guild to EU timezone guilds and it would be 10x better for everyone if we could just copy characters (or even better, merge regions. Our recruiting pool would expand 100,000%!)
The ping is honestly not terrible either - I was chatting with my UK guildies about it last night and on Stormrage our ping ranges between 30 to 150, which is 100% playable.

This happened to me when i moved 2 years ago from Greece to Australia for life, and all my accomplishments in EU had to be deleted (i played since TBC launch). 0 motivation to continue in BFA, and i started playing FF14 because it let’s you transfer worldwide (im not even kidding i knew i would move but had to wait for passports and citizenship approval for 8 months, it was huge issue to me that everything would be gone but i love MMORPGs and tried FF14 for the first time), but i started again WoW, yesterday in hopes that the game will get better about those stuff.
