Let me send mail to ALL of my alts

I want to make one of my alts a nice pair of 262 gloves when they hit level 60, but I can’t because the alt is an alliance alt. Which leaves me with two choices:

  1. buy a faction transfer to make this hunter Alliance, make the gloves and send them to my alt, and then possibly faction transfer back.
  2. Drop alchemy and herbalism on the alt, taking skinning and leatherworking, work on leatherworking, regrind rep with the Enlightened, regather the materials to make the gloves, and then finally make the gloves.

Why cant I send gold, pieces of armor, etc etc to alts within my own account regardless of the faction? I shouldn’t have to drop ~$60 or do a few weeks of work all over again just for one piece of armor for an alt. Just let us send stuff to our alts regardless of the faction. You’re already starting cross faction and that should have been one of the FIRST things you fixed alongside cross faction guilds (but thats a can of worms for another topic.)

From the amount of effort you are willing to put into getting your alts the gloves you can simply grind the gold needed on alliance side and buy a pair from the auction house.

Considering how both auction houses are linked on any given server I don’t understand how at the very least on a server level this isn’t possible. It should just be something that you can do.

Cant you just put it on the ah for an obscene amount have your alt buy it and then have your alt put something on the ah and have your main buy it to send the gold back?

I’m sure you’ll be able to mail your opposite faction alts stuff in the next xpac. Just be patient.

I don’t want to, I was simply listing the options available to me because those are the ONLY options available to me when I should be able to just make them on this hunter and then send them to the alt. I can already make them, I shouldn’t have to go through all the work again to make them on another faction.

i think that’s on the PTR right now. You can mail cross faction to your alts on the same account. Thats 9.2.5. Which should be released relatively soon?

You will be able to do it in 9.2.5 it’s already working on the PTR.

They changed it I think when they combined Auction Houses so you can’t buy your own auctions anymore.

How about a giant single bank account with tabs to all toons. Freely swap everything.

Or 3- Transfer it to a friend via the AH for 1 g, and then the friend sends it to your Alliance character. I’ve done this many times with ore, herbs, & BoE gear dating back to when only the neutral AH could be used. Now, every AH is linked between the factions.

I transfer stuff between my Horde and Alliance toons all the time.
