Let me remind you, Dawnlight is still bugged in Raid

this i disagree with, i like how the spec plays. I just want to feel impactful. Nerf the raid wide heal if you need too, but buff the other heals so we’re on par and impactful. I don’t want my only use to be my damage reduction, and raid wide heal. We’re supposed to be spot healers. But we can’t even do that more effectively than the aoe healers. And it feels bad.

I mean, wouldn’t that be 4-6% buff? Since they’re hitting us with a flat -11% adjustments to all healing?

Update!:

  • Paladin
    • Holy
      • All healing reduced by 5%. Does not affect PvP combat.

      • Fixed a bug causing Dawnlight to not have its healing reduced beyond 5 targets.

      • Dawnlight healing increased by 30%.

        • Developers’ notes: After continued feedback and further review on performance, we’ve decided to revert the planned Holy Paladin nerf for October 8 weekly reset. Additionally, we’re correcting the bug with Dawnlight and compensating with a buff to its healing to keep its value in raid close to its current performance, while giving it increased performance in 5 party group content.

I said we were crap and yeah people like nah we fineeeee yeah okay maybe if your like current few hpally who are gear carried sitting 625+ BIS full gear.

i got attacked for saying our mythic+ healing is bad and saying They need buff LOD and Tyras back up hugely.

imho i think hpally will just be benched rest S1 after tue patch.

guess i shoulda followed some top Hpallies advice and reroll to Rsham.

oh forgot to mention our 4pc does not effect EF’s Hot lol.

I’ll be honest, my thoughs are that it doesn’t really need to. All that is hots and passive effects is overall detrimental to current Hpal gameplay and design. You can see how Dawnlight was bugged and they were about to nerf us 11% overall just because of that passive healing in stacked fights in raid.

Hpal is build around spot healing power and reactive healing, so any source of passive healing like Sun’s Avatar, Dawnlight, Tyr’s, Glimmer, hots extra HPS would be better if its just baked by default in our active abilities like Holy Shock, LoD and EF/WoG, so our ability to move bars is untouched. This is also why Herald is so superior to LS, passive and burst aoe healing.

The reason why Tyr’s is nerfed and is now Glimmer is gone is just so Herald can be around 15%-20% of our overall in passive efects, so you can thank blizz for that hero talent design.

There’s a good chance Rshaman will be nerfed at some point in the future, not guaranteed but the chance is not low at all. 80% represention on week 3 of M+ season is crazy. Hpal had 90% representation in S2 and got nerfed 22%, MW had about 54% representation in S3 and got nerfed 13%, Rdruid had 70%+ in S4 and you can see how bad their current state is now. You can see “oh but you cant nerf them, because its not about their numbers, but about their utility”, well people said exactly that about S2 Hpal and S4 Rdruid and what’s their state now?

Yeah. Just in time for another talent reset in what, two weeks? I am also happy they fixed the bug and undid the 2nd healing nerf. They also buffed the healing dawnlight does - so that it remains strong, but limited, as intended.

What I am not thrilled about is what looks like a scatter gun assault on the talent tree when the Anniversary patch goes live.

Yet another re-work. And what follows every re-work? Nerfs that seem to follow no logic until you realize it’s an attempt to fix one or two bugged or overpowered talents. This happened after the first re-work. It happened after TWW went live, and it will happen again within a few weeks of 11.05.

Yup. That is pretty funny. But S1 Tier is never all that great imo, so I’m not all that bothered by it. What annoys me more is those occasions when the final tier is not the best of the expansion.
