Going by your legacy achieves, you started playing during the second year of Wrath. Classic will require too much effort for you.
Here’s a shocker! We had premades in Vanilla. When crappy xserver came out (for the last two months) we used to do EXACTLY the same thing on Ventrilo for AV - group lead would count down, and we’d hit queue at the same time. No one got banned then, either.
We preformed WSG from the start. Long before xserver ever happened. Pugs have ALWAYS been crap. Always. Why the heck do you think we started grouping up in Vanilla to begin with?? Run a few dozen games at level 19-29, and lose EVERY game. I think I used to jump up and dance every time we won, because it was so rare.
Then you group up with a couple people you recognize and realize: Hey! We did better this time! Grab a few more, and suddenly you’re winning. By the time we reached 40s, we only went in with a full group. Pugging just wasn’t worth the aggravation. If we were short people, we’d test out someone new.
OP was probably so annoying that he got kicked off the preform discord. People have to be able to work together as a team (especially for WSG/AB) and he would have lasted 1 game with us. After that, blacklist. We also all had fast mounts at 60 , simply because we understood it was needed, and so, put the effort into it.
What we didn’t have that is required by most groups now, is gear. By the time bgs went xserver, we already all had our pvp blues, and some epics, so it didn’t really matter, but for our WSG/AB groups, we didn’t care about gear. Someone who could listen was far more important. Heck, I had mostly crappy greens until I got my blue set. (I didn’t pve, which I hated with a passion.) Hopefully, servers will start to make “beginner” preforms for people just getting into pvp after AB comes out.
For OP, and all those who seem to think that without preforms, pugs would suddenly, miraculously be amazing, and every game would be a winner?

I repeat: Pugs have ALWAYS been crap. Deal with that, make your own groups, and stop complaining on forums.
