One last Thank you to LMAMW guildies.
A guild that was a combination of guilds. We found strength in joining together. We didnt use any automatic bot invites. Every person who joined were talked to by another human.
We had 22 Main raid teams at one point. Each with a roster of clear identifiable players.
Sunken Temple: we had 13 raid teams that all played every single lockout. I remember telling the raid leads to maybe give players a break for the holiday and every single raid still raided besides mine . I personally did over 170 Sunken temples with my 7 characters. 1/3 of all ST logs were us or pug runs we hosted.
Molten Core: we created 3 Hand of Rags the first lockout. We pooled all the ignots and resources to have 3 fire cats day one. Many players had farmed for pre-raid bis not knowing that FR would be so crucial. Farming and being forced to wear so much FR felt like garbage. Maybe a cool concept but dumb when actually applied. Every raid team still cleared Heat 3. I hosted mainly Heat 2 and some heat 3 because getting FR on 7 characters was impossible.
BWL: The golden phase. BWL was peak. We controlled which dragon and mechanics we did. It was simple and enjoyable. The extra chests at the end felt like another gamble which was fun. I still remember one run we got 3 DFT’s and 2 Tears. We hit 22 main raid teams and i remember getting online and seeing 344 guildies online. All level 60’s all doing something. We created at least 70-80 TF’s. I hosted over 120+ BWL’s
AQ40: overall not a bad raid but the amount of problems this place had for several lockouts was unreal. SOD team must have had 1 person working because problems did not get fixed for weeks. I can see you being stuck outside of twins room right now. Loot was meh. We lost several raid teams during this phase. I hosted 60+ AQ40’s. Not a fun raid to be in. Having the first boss be a mind control grinder was not a good start.
Naxx: Naxx was a good time. Sanctified gear sucked for people who couldnt play kara or farm for it everyday. Divided a lot of the players. The electricity probably was the only complaint. I did 80+ Naxx with 45 being HM4 clears with 20-27 players. I helped to create at least 25-30 atiesh. I had 3 war mounts. The guild was clearing and people had a good time. I think they could have raised the seal level to 10 and kept us in there 3 more weeks before SE. Let us just blast the place with max seal and being fully geared. Would have been fun.
Scarlet Enclave: mechanics and new bosses way cool. Beating the final boss and being 14th in the world will always be a cool memory. I hosted 7 runs on the first lockout. I learned right away Thursday night that SE was broken and overturned. Going with 29 and only killing the first boss. Every night after i brought a full 40 and required 6-7 hours of gameplay. 3 runs went 5/8, 2 went 7/8, and 1 went 8/8. (Thursday team went 1/8, we didnt go back in). I thought they would fix the issues people brought up just like sunken temple but they didnt. They did not make SE a 20 man raid. Ive done 19 SE’s already. The response time to fixing issues has taken too long. So i retired yesterday with my final raid 8/8. SE has had the greatest drop off. It being too hard because of health pools on bosses and time consuming with trash really turned away a lot of players including myself. Luckily we have a massive guild so combining teams to get full clears was not a issue. I would have kept playing if the SOD team didnt suck and actually made the raid more reasonable for 20 players.
The people and players i got to know made playing wow fun. I probably would have quit ages ago if it wasnt for our awesome community. LMAMW was a once in a lifetime guild. We raided BRM with 200 players, we jumped off org with half the server , we had 7 full raids of 40 players attack the horde at the aq40 gong, and we owned all content! We truly were SOD itself.
Thanks to everyone from Let Me Ask My Wife and others who joined us.
