This age old question has long since been answered. As Carhagen already said, until we get lore to justify them, new eye colors just make zero sense for Death Knights.
One of the “colors to match specs” being asked for doesn’t even fit within existing magical affinities, to boot. Unholy predominately uses Shadow magics, which manifests in varying degrees of purple to red, but not really green. Our spell effects are primarily purple, with exceptions that basically exist because spells never got updated effects to coincide with type changes; i.e. Gargoyle from Nature to Shadow damage, Unholy Pact/Helchains from Fire to Shadow, Death Coil originally being a Warlock spell that thematically would have been infused with Fel, etc. Unholy’s green icon is an unfortunate misnomer for it’s actual magical representation.
Not really. There’s quite literally zero lore on Alistra. Like, nothing nothing, to the point that no official material even describes her general classification, Death Knight or otherwise. It’s always just been assumed that she’s a Darkfallen, or some other type of undead. And before it gets said, no, she doesn’t need to be a Death Knight to be one of our trainers, Amal’thazad, a lich, is our Frost trainer.
The fact that Death Knights were intentionally excluded from the Darkfallen customizations, implying incompatibility to whatever degree, actually confirms that Alistra is not a Death Knight.

The Lore is.
Red is blood.
Green is plague.
Blue is frost.
Ember is Bolvar.
Purple is shadow.
White and black are domination.

Also while you’re at it perhaps you can explain the different eye colors and all their meanings through specific sources for Elves and Zandalari Trolls.
Cause purple for Blood Elves and Void Elves, Green and Gold for Nightborne, and Green for Zandalari (or even Zandalari eye colors in general mind.) have never been explained.

Literally every Death Knight in game, and in lore. As I said, there have been zero exceptions to the rule since the class as we know it has been introduced. That kind of consistency doesn’t exist across all mediums for no reason. Meanwhile, you’re clinging to what used to be an unconfirmed case, at best, and now very clearly is a denied case.

No, I provided a very valid point that being a trainer does not equate her to being the same as us, with a very equivalent and relevant example in Amal’thazad. She is not a Death Knight by the very nature of her Darkfallen appearance that Death Knights were intentionally denied - those have been made to be exclusive things.
There is no proof to this claim, and only contrary evidence.
Can someone please cite this lore that Lady Alistra isn’t a death knight lol? Bcz that’s what that poster is claiming and asking we engage w on that point apparently

The onus is on you because you’re the one w the claim that the Blood Elf in the DK starting zone wearing plate armor literally the DK starter set that trains DKs isn’t a DK.

Our powers are not exclusive. Again, we learn our Frost magics from a lich. He could also rightly say “our powers,” and yet, is still not a Death Knight.
hmm I agree, would love this for my VE dk as well. nerds will say that it isn’t lore accurate but I honestly do not care it looks cool.
