Let’s talk about necrolord, need all necrolords together!

Cool faction, but man all of your abilities are just bad.

While channeling a tanks other passive mitigation (dodge, parry, block specifically) are turned off meaning that at best the shield is just “press this button to do what you would do anyhow but worse for 4 seconds” when used in combat.

Yeah it’s a little rough out here.

I mostly picked Necrolords because after spending so much time having basically zero cleave the class ability is nice to have. Also…

…this. Sure stacking a bunch of corpses on top of each other to get some buffs that go away after you take damage is lame for solo play most of the time, but sometimes you’re in Torghast and get a bunch of anima powers that make that make fleshcraft uncharacteristically awesome.

14,000-30,000 shield. Were talking about tanks. Not dps.

I like Fleshcraft because I only have 1 defensive CD.

Fleshcraft is almost useless in PvP. It should have an over time build up rather than a channel, which causes lost damage and a reduced effectiveness by the time you resume combat.

But im a dps. Does dps no longer matter anymore or what? There are dps necrolords as well lol

And I’m telling you it’s completely useless in most cases. It needs to have a serious Cd reduction and cast time reduction

Dps have never mattered.

I keed! I keed!

Lolol

But i see the issue as it can be op for a tank if the cd is too short.

How do we fix this? :joy:

Take a look at some of the soulbinds for fleshcraft. Emeni has one that allows you to use the ability while moving. I haven’t looked at all the different soulbind bonuses, but that alone is enough to make up for the flaws of fleshcraft in my opinion.

Dunno about tanks but as a healer I love it. Gives me more time to worry about other people and not have to worry so much about myself. I’m already used to long channel/cast time spells so no biggy there although I will like the ability to channel while moving that eventually unlocks.

What is the harm in making it an instant cast?

I WANT to go necrolord bad. I like the hands and the shield idea, but as a tank a 20K shield is just meh at best, when you take in that its a 2min CD.
I think if they did this
Hands 1.5min CD
Fleshcraft 1min CD(buff 1 min) 2sec cast (with same stats)
I would then go necrolord with that as a tank I think.
They could then keep the PvP side with 2min CD as that would make sense, but for PvE like why make them both 2min

As a Blood DK, literally any other mitigation button is more deserving of that GCD rather than channeling a pitiable shield.

It’s not. Next?

Why do people seem to think that the covenant abilities are supposed to be good? They are flavor abilities that compliment the covenant that’s it. Your class covenant abilities are the only ones that matter.

Most of the Covenant secondaries are blah. Why is this surprising? The Kyrian secondary is just as useless as Fleshcraft. The Night Fae secondary is beyond useless to any class that is mobile. The Venthyr power is only useful for skipping mobs or getting into weird places (which will become near useless when flying is unlocked).

But picking that one for Emeni requires sacrificing a potency slot. That’s a heavy cost just to make Fleshcraft suck less.

And even if it wasn’t, so many fights (even trash) depend on active mitigation. We should be able to cast those while channeling this, and keep our passive mitigation, for it to be worthwhile in a longer fight.
