She’ll probably show up again the next time we do Void stuff, along with Xal’atath and Locus Walker.
I don’t expect to see her in the land of the dead anytime soon.
Her idea of the ‘true throne’ of power probably either belongs to the leader of the Void Lord’s or Sargeras’s vacant throne at the head of the Legion.

Honestly, should we be even worried any longer? I find any leftover plot points or content from BFA just worth ignoring now. They did so many “big threat” characters dirty. I would just wish BFA to be retconned.

Given its Azshara, this throne of power could very well refer to the power of Arcane, in the cosmological force of Order.

Yeah the true throne of power is not exactly specific.
She could be talking about the Seat of the Pantheon. She could free Sargeras or use him as a battery like he used Argus. Or she could hook up with Illidan and do crazy things.
I don’t know if the Arbiter is the true throne of power in the Shadowlands. She seems more of a tool of the powers that be. It is always possible that the Death Realm has a hidden Throne of power, and we are being lied to by everyone.
And then we have allusions to a realm of order. The Warp. She is a master of the Arcane. If she feels Arcane is where it’s at, she may find a way there.
So far she has been prominent in the Legion’s story, the Void’s, and the Arcane. Elune has actively opposed her and aided Tyrande - maybe Azshara wants to find Elune and kick her off the throne. I could see Azshara holding a grudge against Elune, because Azshara was never able to replace Elune in the hearts of Night Elves.
This true throne of power could be anywhere. I think it is too early to definitively claim she is in the Shadowlands. Perhaps she has an agent there…

Elune has never acted against anyone directly, everything she’s ever done of consequence has been through prroxies.
Sure she has. When Tyrande was captured by Azshara, Elune protected Tyrande, and helped her deal with the conditions Azshara had her placed in. Azshara certainly did not ask Elune to help Tyrande - that was done directly to help Tyrande in opposition to Azshara’s plans. Elune actively helped one side against the other.
And also - there is that moment in A Good War, where Sylvanas wonders if Elune some how intervened to ruin her plans. She doesn’t know that Saurfang was magically frozen, but she has her suspicions based on her adversaries. But Saurfang was frozen in place, and he wasn’t even sure how.
“Never” is a strong word. Though some would argue whether helping Tyrande survive counts as something of consequence.
She may or may not have thrown up a barrier, or Tyrande may have done so herself, but she’s never made an appearance as an acting agent. She sends defective artifacts she mutates beasts into amazingly corruptible defenders.
There have been cartoons on how inept Elune’s aid has been usually centered around the story of Velinde Starsong and the Dark Worgen.
Despite being billed multiple times as supposedly “Azeroth’s one true God” she’s never really done anything to show it.
Only the RPG billed her as Azeroth’s One True God. All other Sources bill her as “One of Azeroth’s Few True Gods” implying there are more True Gods of Azeroth!
Any of them that you can recall? And that doesn’t address my point. When she was needed most, she was a no-show.
You also forget that in Wolfheart, Tyrande calls upon Elune, and Elune responds by brightening the moon to the extent that it burned away the fog and made the horde visible.
Elune is either a First One, or precedes the first ones. She is the only lore figure that has been canonically referred to as a deity. That means something.

If you want to include the in game fight against Archimonde in the Battle for mount hyjal raid as canon (personally I don’t as blizzard basically said the raid was “for the lols” since the infinite dragonflight, the reason why we went into the raid never showed up), Elune protects you from Archimondes infamous finger of death. Saving you, your children and your childrens children from death. The item Tyrande gives you is used for a completely different mechanic in that fight.

I honestly wish Alleria had been working with Sylvanas the whole time. Would have really built them two up as threat. Would also explain the reason Sylvanas was working to help old god beings out and ally with Azshara.
