Less Believable Race/Class Lore

The warrior class stems from footmen, grunts, knights, ogres, you name it. However, the only thing I can think of that justifies blood elf warriors are the Silvermoon Guardians that patrol SMC. That’s it. I guess I was one of those before I started my life of adventure.

I think anyone could be a warrior, not everyone can be a great warrior.

Goblin and Gnome warriors always have made the least sense to me (Vulpera now too). I mean, they crack me up, and I enjoy seeing them, but they’re pint-sized tanking giant dragons.

Would make sense if they were Tinkers in mech suits…

Goblins need bouncers for their clubs or simple soldiers to fight other cartels.
Warriors of every race makes sense.

The most unbelievable race/class combo is Void Elf Paladin.

The most unbelievable existing race/class combo goes to either Undead Monk or Lightforged Warlock.

Lightforged warlock can be excused as simply being a demonic enslaver who uses their mastery over the fel to help the army of light fight demons( think of how the Wardens used demon hunters own fel to trap them)

Undead monk doesn’t really make sense because not only do they basically have no muscle or functioning digestive system( brewmaster) monks use the element of" spirit" that is within all living things, the thing is Undead aren’t living and the thing existing inside them is death magic.

It just doesn’t make sense.

but since they’re falling apart it’s a lot easier to find “inner…peace”

Okay, but that’s Goblins fighting other Goblins. Warriors are tanks that take on giant dragons, demi gods and such, which I already stated.

You don’t think that’s good money? On top of Goblins are technology skewed.

They would use technology to cover their shortcomings

Key the booty bay bruiser trapping you with a net gun then smashing your knees in.

Yeah, I said it would make sense if they were in Mech suits. It’s just hilarious to me seeing them with tiny armor, shields, and swords at the mouth of a dragon that could eat them like popcorn. I had a gnome warrior at one point (named Peck), due to how ridiculous it looked tanking.

I eventually made him a Pandaren.

Warriors are the baseline Fighter class of RP, why every Race didn’t start with them is a mystery.
Likewise the same with Rogue (Thief Class) and Mage (Magic-User Class).

im sorry but did you even play warcraft 3? there were high elf warriors aka high elf sword men aka blood elf ones the guards in the city are spell breakers a combination of mage and warrior…

I refuse to acknowledge zandalari paladin

That said, i’d love demon hunters for every race :joy:

Fun fact: When Blood Elves were first released as a playable race, they could only play classes that used magic / mana, so, Mage, Priest, Warlock, Paladin… and kinda oddly Hunter and Rogue. Iirc Hunters still used mana back then, so that’s kinda fair, but Rogues used Energy and has no magic (unless they consider going practically invisible to be magic?) So they were an odd one out.

But the big thing is they could not be Warriors due. They were literally the only race who could not be a Warrior. And as mentioned, there was a lore reason, Blood Elves over reliance on magic. This lasted until Cataclysm, when Blood Elves were given Warriors quietly.

Well, I suppose making a Spellbreaker class for just 1 race would have been too hard.

I’m still waiting for them to re-categorize warglaives as swords and allow all sword users to use warglaives… and specifically for them to allow us to obtain the currently un-obtainable warglaives used by troll, night elf, nightborne and blood elf npcs…

I think of my undead monk as an undead scarlet crusader.

Though, I really wish that I could get some glyphs to:

  1. change the color of monk healing/damage abilities to purple (void/shadow).
  2. change the graphic of summonables to undead stuff:
    a) statue of jade serpent into a plague cauldron
    b) statue of the ox thing into a… I don’t know… something undeady…
    c) summon of xu’en into summoning another undead monk that fights for you

That’d be sweet.

you have no spirit.

A human body in the state of desication that the Forsaken seem to be in would weigh less that 25lb. Pretty sure most of the larger playable races could just pull one apart like a roasted chicken.

I guess undead magic also makes them heavier. Magic!

Have you paid attention to the swords gnomes use. :carpentry_saw::robot::question:

Have you paid attention to how much smaller the gnome versions are? They’re basically using knives.

this is gameplay reasons not canon… or do you think Ashbringer size varies on the user…?
