Does anyone read posts that contain multiple paragraphs that a super lengthy? I admit I have not found a lengthy post that makes me suppress my laziness and lack of interest to read it.
My motto, KISS!
If not, its a pass.
Depends on the topic.
Once it hits roughly 3 paragraphs I’m looking for a TLDR.
If the TLDR seems interesting enough I’ll give the novel a chance.
If there’s no substance in the first few sentences, there’s not going to be any in the next few paragraphs.
If its well written and interesting
So, considering this is the wow forums, no
Nah short and sweet.
More than one paragragh and I’m too lazy to keep reading.
I do if the answer is relevant or articulate. I also write response lengths appropriate for the question.
Head over to the lore forum and you’ll find all kinds of lengthy posts ![]()
Long, short, quip, I read them all (well, almost all). There ‘s no single ideal format of communication and variety is nice. That said, not all long posts actually end up saying more than a short post. Nor do all short posts successfully communicate the writer’s idea.
I typically will pick one sentence out of a manifesto to respond to, but it doesn’t mean I didn’t read the whole thing. It’s just that I like to focus my replies on one idea a time.
No.
Depends… If its a topic I am interested in and well written I will read through it. If I read the first few lines I usually have a good idea of if its going to be worth reading or not.
There was a thread targeting Bobby Kottic today and I read the first line and then basically went “Yeah, I am not reading the rest of this…”
I don’t read them.
I just put a dracthyr sip emoji or some other emoji in there just to save my place reading comments.
This is my philosophy. If it’s a topic I’m interested in and there are small paragraphs to break up the wall of text I’m more likely to take the time to read it. I saw a post the other day that was just one giant paragraph and immediately said nope.
I know i shouldn’t because I would misunderstand a poster ,but if it’s long I glace it and hope each paragraph has it own meaning.

Depends on the topic and how much I care about it, but sometimes yes. Usually I’ll just skim through it looking for the important points though.
No unless it’s a topic I’m passionate about, such as the guild menu not sorting offline players by time offline (which was fixed today btw
).
