Still bugged 12-17-2020
Hey Blizzard! Do your freaking job and fix this!
12-22-2020… still a thing BUT after reading all of these I at least completed the scenario. My quest log says they’re ready for turn in. But as the ship blew up while i was on the Griffin NPC i still died! I cant turn them in AND now I cant fly!!!
Still bugged in 2021. GG.
The best solution that my husband and I have found to combat this is to explain it to the party ahead of time and hope they actually listen. And then have 1 person use “Whole-Body Shrinka’”. This makes the kill slow enough that Mayla moves. 
This is apparently still an issue…
If you out-level a mob you are going to kill it fast. You can try taking all your armor and weapons off and hitting it solely with your fists to kill it, and that should slow the kill down some, but it is working as intended. You are 2 expansions past the content you are questing in.

Still a problem. The Whole Body Shrinka workaround worked for me, but it’s silly that we still have to deal with this a full year after it was originally reported.

Can confirm. After waiting 10 minutes to find others who are actually doing legion content, Mayla bugs and doesn’t walk. Waited 5 before I left. 30 minute debuff timer…thanks!
As of 5/27/21, still not fixed, nor is the debuff at least removed to allow for a redo.

Still bugged as of 6/1/21, had it happen at 6:26am EDT
Happened again today, this 26th of June in the year of our lord, 2021.
Add a quest bubble line to her that we can click on to indicate she should move forward.

Still bugged, I tried walking far away from the instance but now my character is literally unplayable. Anytime i try to play with that character the game automatically crashes :v
Update: After trying a couple times the instance restarted itself
just experienced this, relogged and got dungeoun deserter for 30 minutes SO ANNOYING
