So many people here on the forums upset about lego prices and it being purely blizzards plan to require massive gold sinks. Even positive creators like elisium who is a gold farmer see the issue. I’m not happy either

The world race is irrelevant. And legendaries get their power from the equip, not the stats. That whole 0.5% dps increase does not make or break the average joe. It’s not pay to win.

Even for casual raiders like myself joining pugs, having a higher io over someone else gets you invited to raids.

I’m not, that’s not even high on my list of things to do. I’m not pushing for a world first, which is who that high price is aimed at, not your average WOW player. My 3 262s on my Druid will live long and prosper.
Not to mention gold is raining from the sky, I have 3 that i paid anywhere from 60K to 90K, and never bought a token…
Please join us in the real world, if you don’t need the lego right away, which you don’t, wait for the prices to come down.

I don’t plan to buy a rank seven anytime soon either it’s just to expensive. I’ll wait but it’s annoying since it’s the core feature of this entire expansion.

Unless you’re doing mythic raiding, you don’t need a rank 7 legendary anyway. Just wait for the inevitable price drop.

Even being pay-2-win, it’s still the best MMO on the market, so what’cha gonna do? Eh.

This all could have been solved by simply having the legendary as a base Rank 1 item. All subsequent Ranks would be obtained through the rank up system they have in place, a +1, +2 etc. BOE item that allows the user or crafter to set the crafted Rank above Rank 1. Materials for the rank up item would come from playing the game. Would keep costs low and allows access to everyone.

I mean, literally every MMO is pay to win. It’s not something Blizzard can change. People will always use their credit card to buy carries or currency, whether you can officially buy it or not.

People complained that professions outside of Alchemy couldn’t make a lot of gold, so Blizzard made the system this way. I think it’s partially player’s fault for the current situation. That said, unless you’re doing mythic raiding right now, you don’t need a rank 7 legendary. People just have to wait for the prices to come down as they always do.

Some folks I know just got banned for a month for piloting.
I understand you don’t need it for the power but people like chasing the stats. I personally will wait until the prices drop, I was simply commenting on how silly the whole situation is.
I think the crafting system is one of the games biggest failures and missed opportunities. They need to revamp it and tie it into the actual game a lot more than it is.

That’s a good thing. Blizzard will crack down as much as they can but as Classic WoW showed us, it doesn’t matter if you have the WoW token or not. People (and a lot of them) will buy gold (or carries) regardless.

nothing prevented anyone from planning… nothing prevented anyone from playing the economics of this game.
If a year into this expansion, you’re caught, shocked, and unprepared, then by all means, make claims of p2w.
