the quest Handling it Taut Tethercoil is not dropping the items when rares are tagged

I can confirm. Just got the axe drop, can’t progress this quest because I get no quest items when using the rune.

Can we get a fix or better yet a skip (especially for those of us who have now done this questline multiple times on other characters?) It’s supposed to be a greatest hits season so gating power progression on old (now bugged) content seems weird.

True, I would also settle for not having to use two weeks worth of bullions to upgrade it.

Same issue for me. Just looted the axe after reset, and unable to progress “Handling It: Taut Tethercoil”. Stuck at 4/50 with tether active and killing multiple rares.

Same here, I have been trying for about an hour now on various event rares in the dream and haven’t gotten any. The debuff is on the mobs when they die.

Also unable to get tethercoils. :dracthyr_a1:

  1. Tethering mob while not in combat

  2. not using esc (or any abilities, no stopcast macros)

  3. mob dies, doesn’t give any items, stays tethered

This is less than ideal.

frl went from a good day to a mid day with this thing bugging out again.atleast superblooms are going by quickly.

It was so confusing because I was working on it just fine then 16/50 and no progress.

id be at 20/50 by now ive killed so many rares till i realised it was bugged currently siting at 6/50 :dracthyr_a1:

Same problem, 17/50 and have killed 4 rares with no drop.

Agreed with this sentiment. It’s actually getting worse because the enchanting portion of the quest is bugged as well. It has consumed materials without giving progress and is now being interrupted incurring the 5 min CD. I’m honestly over it lol

I had a ticket up. The game master was very polite and apologetic. Obviously, they couldn’t do anything, but the response boiled down basically to, “the team is working on it”.

Not that it makes it any more fun for all of us waiting to complete the quest.

I am also experiencing this as well for tracking purposes, 0/50 killing rare beasts. The tether seems to tether properly, but no drop and remains tethered upon death.

On a side note, congrats to everyone on getting the axe!
