So, Legion Artifact Weapons are i70 which is better than the Benthic equipment half of my characters had on.
Is this intentional, did they want to give us another opportunity to use these awesome weapons that we tricked out so long ago?
My benthic wep is 76ilvl
Considering Legion leveling now reaches up to lvl. 50 when using Chromie Time, this is working as intended.
Must investigate this when I get home.
Granted, I’ve been away from WoW since like… um. Nazjatar’s release, so people who’d been playing more might have better stuff, but still. It was a nice change.
Still way below the level WQs were dropping which was up to 80. But then again I see that there are almost no WQs dropping gear today, except the occasional random armor cache. (edit: Okay, I do see a belt in Kul tiras)

weapons usually come from the emissary chest you get after doing the 4 quests. It will say if it’s a weapon or armor. You might have better luck in an LFR.
Well, the difference between i70 and i80 is going to be far less than say, before this patch when it was comparing 370 vs ~440.

Yes. 70 is around what 390 or 400 was before it looks like.
